QUOTE(sweetie_viking @ Jan 11 2013, 04:06 PM) i applied for the maybank 2 card last year to get points and the 5% cashback. but after a few months, i realized for weekend spend, i only got the 5% cashback and not the points. so i called the customer service and they told me weekends we don't get points, just cashback. with cap of rm50 per month, if i spent more than RM3000 on weekends that month, i only get 5% on the first rm1000. the other rm2000 burn. no points, no cash. but a lot of ppl in this forum say got the 5x points on weekends too... betul ke ni? 5x treatpoints EVERYDAY using AMEX

QUOTE(Z610ix6 @ Jan 13 2013, 08:56 PM) Thanks! Will definitely do that. Forgot to mention that I live in Penang. No Machines. Actually just want to confirm that if I swipe on weekends then will definitely get the 5% cash back which will be shown in statement, right? Yes, accept for specific cases when they process the transactions on Monday (example Dell) or for transaction with different timezone situation (example paypal, refer post #3). QUOTE(MatXSelamat @ Jan 13 2013, 08:58 PM) Lecehnya... Last time using other MBB credit card no such issue. that is for security purpose. try to ask maybank to allow all transaction for your card then, but this is at your own RISK.

QUOTE(David83 @ Jan 14 2013, 06:51 PM) The RM 10 surcharge is referring to the convenience fee right? I remembered that it used to be RM 6. Correct me if I'm wrong. Not a frequent Air Asia traveler. YUp, increased to RM10

QUOTE(firee818 @ Jan 16 2013, 10:45 AM) Does Maybank extend their Mastercard hotel rebate of 6% for hotel booking via Agoda for the Year 2013? As far as I know, the Rebate of 6% ended at 31/12/2012. no news so far, citibank extended theirs to june 3013.

The agoda promo for maybank has ended but it is extended for citibank cards.
I tried to book a hotel using citibank from the citibank/agoda link and proceed as per steps (in Gen-x blog). I reached the page to key in card details and the next step is to click payment, however up to this step, the 7% discount is not stated at all.
So I would like to ask from those here who booked from agoda maybank before, is the 5% (for maybank) clearly stated something like 'promo 5% discount and amount' or have to do own calculation?
I didnt proceed to click the payment button as I am worried it might go through without the discount.
TQ

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 18 2013, 11:18 AM) My experience 2 times booking through Agoda last year during the promotion, it will show a discounted price after I keyed in my Maybank VISA card information. It will show the discounted price after key in card details, but no need to click submit payment right? OK will try again later. TQ

QUOTE(TehWateva @ Jan 18 2013, 12:24 PM) because not everyone can sit down and calculate how many multipliers that *may* apply to each transaction is? Still no clear cut explanation why I had around 10k transaction for Nov & Dec on this card but yet get 40k points for nov and 11k for dec No one will know the answer except you do your own tally. If it is still not matching, you may call up CS and ask. Maybe it could be some free TP due to referal program, etc This post has been edited by Human Nature: Jan 18 2013, 12:29 PM

QUOTE(l3iTi @ Jan 20 2013, 11:58 AM) Wanna ask, I have requested to upgrade my Petronas Visa Card to Maybank Card 2 Card Platinum. Ytd I collected the card, max out the rebate of AMEX. But i forget to ask bout the cancellation of my Petronas Visa Card.... Today I check online bout my Petronas Visa Card info, it's still active. If I write to cancel Petronas Visa Card, will all the treat points be transfer to my existing new card? Simple, put a request for the treatpoints to be transferred to the new card.

QUOTE(wyen @ Jan 25 2013, 05:28 PM) Sorry if this had been asked before...is the agoda promotion6% with MasterCard still on? It valid till dec2012 not sure it on or not and from website it seems gone Not extended for maybank. It is extended til 30 june 2013 for citibank but i discovered that booking via normal agoda website is cheaper compared to citibank agoda link site.

QUOTE(wyen @ Jan 25 2013, 08:04 PM) Huh? There's price difference between the normal agoda and ctb website? Geez the I rather use Amex then you better open both sites and do the comparison. the rate via normal site was lower even after 7% discount. OT. QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jan 25 2013, 08:45 PM) I believe you are the second or third person to have discovered this. May I know which hotel you were looking to book when you found this price difference ? I've booked Pullman Bangkok King Power through Agoda three times already and so far have not experienced similar issue. So I always booked through the website that gives me 7% discount Casa Hotel HK. I was re-directed to Agoda.com from HotelsCombined. Maybe due to this.
