Ramires becoming a weakest link because of the 4-2-3-1 formation..He is a runner..not suitable at pivot..if we sticking to the 4-2-3-1 formation then..for me he is the weakest link at pivot..he suit better as AM/RW..but..we already got Moses + MAZACAR..kind a surplus to the team now..
our defender become crappier because of the formation...all of them already used to the 4-3-3 with DM covering the back four..and to relate with Ramires..he not covering them at pivot..because he always on the run..
cuz he playing at lone striker..and Liverpool playing 4-5-1/4-3-3 JM edition..

that is why we need a deep lying play maker..
even if we look at current set up we got none of that..the only one we got McEachran...
I beg to differ on Ramires POV. he did ok earlier this season during RDM with this formation. Reason why because he's partnering with Mikel. Mikel always drop deep to be the last person to cover the back four. mikel not an attacking type until getting into the box. hence the cover was always there. with Mikel, ramires can freely do all the dirty work run up and down breaking opponent attacks. I guess past few months fixtures cant help him much, I noticed he doing less sprinting already, too fatigue?
previous few games, it was ramires + lampard combo. we have to admit that lampard is not box to box anymore. he's a bit slow when coming back to cover back four.
an example, 3rd newcastle goal yesterday. see how many space Sissoko got to release the shot. instead of everyone getting in the box, they should form 2 layer of defensive line. 1-2 midfields should cover the gap for long range shooter. something like game against barca last season. is rafa fan of zonal marking?
