Yah. Sad but true.

If Torres missed that chance, i feel like "He pulled another Torres"
When Ba is the one who missed it, i think "Look at the opportunites Ba is creating"

No good is no good, there is no need to support blindly. Those who say TORRES form is better than BA and deserve to start then i have to call them fanboy. Is clear to see the threat BA provided than TORRES doing nothing good for the whole 80min.

There is not need another DROGBA, we have BA that can score goal but problem is, he is not getting the spot he deserve due to TORRES. I will have no problem supporting him if he is bench, but those preference treatment is hurting the team chances. I think he should go for the good of himself and for CHELSEA. There is no more excuse for him, even LUKAKU is banging goal at WBA without the amazing AM we got.

Lastly pls bring a manager that select player base on their current form and not price tag and reputation, i would even put PIAZON ahead of TORRES now.

Lolz.
The differ btw torres and ba would be.
BA is doing what striker needed to do the most.
Torres cases he just involve too much in the build up and not doing what a striker supposed to do.
just my 2cent.

Not really wor, he dont even touch the ball much from build up, what he do mostly in the 80min is marking the opponent defender laugh.gif

Ya great news the board gave A.COLE a new contract, heard is a pay rise close to 200k per week for 1 year. LAMPARD i dunno, maybe the board does not give him the contract he want as we have more younger option on CM position. But would love him to stay to show/teach the foreign and young player the CHELSEA winning mentality.

Juan mata on differ league tough 83 touches but with 70% passing accuracy.
Oscar have the best PA 91%. thumbup.gif

compare to Giroud 38 touches and but PA were at 69%. 4 shot with 2 on target. 0 key passes.

No good is no good..agree on that..but last night he was not that bad..for last night only I think Torres and Ba..both not really bright if we talk about overall performance..

Chelsea fans too fond with Drogba-esque play..hold the ball..wait for other player too come..powerful shot..and physcial play..

Torres none of the above..He is a fast pace striker..beat last man..and place shot..and he done all that last night..but still finishing sucks..

We are not saying Torres was better than Ba..but both of them different type of striker..so if you judge base on the specific criteria ..surely one of them will be a bad striker..

I'm done with Torres..but last night..he was not that bad..

If a striker value count by the goal he scored..last night both of them scoreless... wink.gif

torres improvement was due to his new haircut, if he go bald may be he can outperform Ba. biggrin.gif

to me his positioning is still poor

Statistic cannot show what actual happen on the game, GIROUD definitely more dangerous and more scoring opportunity than TORRES. A weak shot at keeper is still a shoot on target on statistic.

I am not judging TORRES base on his goal only, he have lose the instinct of a striker. Fast pace, beat last man he have all lose it. The reason i say he marking the opponent defender because he is standing waiting the ball to arrive at his feet instead of what is do best at LIV which is playing at defender shoulder making those thru ball run. The moment BA come in, we saw the kind of run a striker should do, which saw him creating a 1 vs 1 chance with keeper. The question is simple, do you think TORRES deserve to start ahead of BA at the current form ? Ignore RAFA choice.

Yup beginning to dislike him for 2 years of no improvement, the preferential treatment he is getting, hogging the striker spot preventing other who is more deserving the spot and indirectly affecting our winning chances.

this is my personal opinion..Ba should start..cuz..Ba play so much like Drogba..that trash Arsenal for years..simple as that..

but Rafa selected Torres to start..and he played well..so I cant simply trash Torres for last night performance..

Easy to see now why fans aren't backing Torres anymore.

1. RDM benched Torres
2. RDM got sacked
3. Torres played as main striker
4. ????
5. Profit (For Benitez? )

6 RDM become player + coaching legend.

Good news thumbup.gif but nothing personal on TORRES, just whoever is at better form should play. Those arent, sit on the bench and work harder. To hell with preferential treatment, price tag and reputation.

That was good news too, was stating in general my CHELSEA striker preference BA > LUKAKU > PIAZON > TORRES.

well that was worth 6 points. big, big win and we needed a slice of luck because that tackle by ramires prior to mata's lovely finish...ouchies. that hurt, and i'm not sure why the ref didn't blow for a foul. having said that, we're due some rub of the green, as things haven't exactly gone our way prior to the derby. looking back at the game, it wouldn't sound too bizarre if we renamed ourselves as jekyll and hyde FC, because that's what we are at the moment. complete and utter domination in the first half apart from giroud's early chance, then a total collapse of epic porportions in the second. heroic defending from the likes of cahill, cole, iva and azpi helped to secure the points, and that last ditch tackle from cahill was a masterpiece in diehard defending. standout performer was probably ramires, as usual his jetpack worked for 90 mins and that classy swivel which completely bamboozled szczceny was pure brazilian. whatever the pundits were smoking, i'd like to have some because it didn't look anything like a dive from any sort of angle, and i suspect their minds were still on the foul which wasn't given for his tackle earlier.

if u review the incident that lead to walcott's goal, torres might've had a case as well when he went down under vermaelen's challenge, but to be honest it wasn't as bad as rami's. how about azpi's picture perfect pass for mata though? juan piece of genius for the finish, and another for that pass to rami. okay he faded badly after the goal, but it shows this little dynamo will win us games. its difficult to blame rafa for not resting him sometimes..it really is.
towards the end he was tiring and that final giveaway could've lead to an equaliser..fuh. congrats to those of you who managed to refrain yourselves from screaming at the tv / projector screen at that very moment laugh.gif

now lampsy's penalty was well taken, but its obvious in high tempo games he's going to struggle. made some good tackles and runs, but gave away possession on more than a few occasions. oscar and hazard fared much better in attack, but its fair to say all three were below par in the second half. betrand came on and kept walcott quiet so it was a sensible sub, while marin was supposed to add some counterattacking threat. both subs weren't too bad but i disagree with ba coming on so late. torres didn't exactly have his worst game in blue, and he was working extremely hard for the team. its just that ba came on and arsenal couldn't handle our CF all of a sudden, so the gulf in confidence / form is clear for all to see. should've had a goal though.

overall it was a hard fought and nervy battle. not the most comfortable, but hey we've secured 3 points at the bridge, and considering our 'fortress' has been badly breached so many times this season, this is a great result!

note: avb's spurs are looking like a really dangerous outfit these days. turned up the heat on utd in the second half and should've finished with all three points, if not for some really poor finishing. i have a strong feeling they're going to take either our spot or arsenal's in the top four this season, so we'd better make darn sure there's a safe gap between us and them towards the end of the campaign. at the moment they're too close for comfort and arsenal will definitely string together some results to claw their way back up. haih..the top three london teams will be really slugging it out this time. well u know what they say..just bring it! flex.gif
