Sifus please advice, yesterday when shooting wedding dinner, suddenly i cant switch to manual mode on my f43 flash. Im using a77 by the way... when i change to manual mode, when i click on shutter button, it changes back to TTL.. am i doing anything wrong?

erm, a flash unit, based stand, and it come with sony flash pouch. user manual... like that.

pictures look clean! awesome!

true, but it does not mean camera got iso 200, mean we can obtain such clean photo. if the user not clear what in his setting, still will end up different output of picture.

lwliam is pro, that why his shot is so clean-nice! if person noob like me, may be i would ended bad shot in wrong setting  lol...

I see. But 57 has 12fps. 65 10fps only. Screen all the same, body same, all same. And apparently 57 has better ISO performance than 65.

my advise, go 57. save the extra cash for lens or flash upgrades later... or save it until u feel pro enough, 99 terus... skip 77. no matter how much 'excuse' people will tell u that they can accept 77 noise... A57 is obvious more iso approachable at 3200 anytime. im not only talking bout night shooting, but daytime when i need iso3200 for birding, the way the NR works on 77's sufficient light, the noise is still too much compare to A57 16mp.

what 77 outweigh the 57 is,
i) controls, anyone will love 2 dails, joystick for AF point controls(57 require press middle DPad AF button to go in AF selection), extra customizable buttons.
ii) AF illuminator allows really Low Light AF to shoot lowlight mood effect. not to mention 11 cross point... it does make a huge diff vs 3crosspoint A57
iii) choice of opt. Body Grip...

A57, outweigh in ISO and price tag. nuff said.

vs other brands, peaking, SSS, MFNR, auto HDR..... countless...

honestly, the evf, i have both evf on hand, i dont see any differences... really!

the LCD, yea thats a plus, but not a major game changer....

those 2 point i leave it out because its not a big deal towards 'taking a photo' compare to the need of better controls and button, ability to shoot in really low light.

I only know that the a77 EVF is sooooooo much better than a55's. I had an a55 and when the a77 was launched I looked into the EVF and got a shock. Can't imagine the a99's. But the a77 in low light the EVF is still abit at the noisy side I must admit.

IMHO try crop in more, as they said if it ain't good enough then you ain't close enough. 

On a side note, any Sony DSLT got electronic shutter?
Or similar silent shutter function.

I admit that the shot was a bit lacking. I was trying to get the water in the foreground for framing.

If you think I'm not close enough then I have one question for you:

anyone here did wedding event shoot? can gives some feedback...

1. typically how many shots you shoot for whole event chinese wedding or breakdown into below:
    a) wedding eve - lao thiak meh (chinese)
    b) brother day - departure, get bride, come back, kang teh,
    c) wedding dinner
2. what type of scenery MUST never miss during the event
    a) wedding eve - lao thiak meh : pray? sikat rambut?
    b) brother day : games (definitely), house main door entrance? bride room entrance? exchange rings, kiss,  circling bridal car?
    c) wedding dinner: reception? yam seng? main table reunion shoot? fill champagne ? potong cake? shoot every table? candid shoot?

3. for critical shoot, how to ensure 0 mistake? (ie: group shoot no one closed eye); do you inspect the photo instant after the important shot? do you ask for take 2? (you know some those culture activity only do once)

4. how much you guys charge for whole event? (i know it depend on the work quality, how to justify a work quality)
    a) wedding eve shoot
    b) brother day - 730am - 2pm
    c) wedding dinner - 7pm - 11pm

5. Do you shoot free for fren?
