your condition is different with me. i promised to my fren fren to help and declared up front i am 1st time shooter. i am not confident photographer, too new! i never expect i am the only photographer in the event, since i have informed got other his other frens cover the event, but in actual day i found holy cow, -i am the only one  shocking.gif I got felt the pressure in my mind while i did the shooting (what ppl will comment my photos after today  sad.gif )

I tried to return the ang pao my fren given -i did not open it to know the $ and still left in my car drawer, push lai push ki  doh.gif , bcos I know I did lot of mistake in the event, Shootkk alr watched and provided comments (thanks or his valuable inputs)

your case, your fren is really 'buat tak tau' lol... at least rm50 or 100 better than not thing  doh.gif
*
First timer is like that la..u can try to compensate your mistake in postprocessing..just remember that during those events shooting, just shoot more..process later..don waste time in doing your settings on spot..no one bother to know if the photos are edited or what..they care about outcome..keep that in mind..post processing skill does matter in wedding photography..

Btw, friends is like that one..best to attend without camera..

try check with your mobile, most smartphone today has very good color accuracy.... but if u still cant see the differences, then you need to start train the eye.
a good whitebalance means the color tint/tone of the photo are gentle to the eye. (and yes, even intended warmer/cooler photo also will look good)
hope u dont mind, i took your photo and did a color balancing and put it side by side to help u see the differences.

QUOTE(ieR @ Feb 16 2013, 11:53 AM)
Art (including photography) is a very very very subjective thing. Not all art, are appreciated... Not all art, are prefect. Sometimes, creator didn't realizes what/where went wrong until someone point them out(if there is something wrong)

in photography world, 90% users wouldnt know what is WB.... And used the WB in a wrong way. But if the user manage to pull it off using a wrong WB, able to captured the hearts of the audience, that's good. If not, its bad.

"Judging", if u have intended to create a theme, its it good to have feedback regard the theme you are using? Or no feedback at all? But then, again  its very subjective and important if its being judge, it has to be judged by the right person for the job. You don't pass a photo to be judge by a singing judge, or ask a photographer to be judge for a singing competition. smile.gif

well said, i appreciate all the comments given to my photos..

btw, what to ask before i lay my hand on raynox-250..i intended to use it with my tamron 17-50 and 70-300..my question is, will it be any chances that there will be vignetting in my photos? from reviews i heard that 17-50 will have vignetting..any opinion here?

i think i read this somewhere... also due to i fly very often with camera+laptop bag.

economy/business/airasia
flyer allows One hand Baggage not more then 8kg.
additional of One LaptopBag OR One Professional Camera/vid Bag. (aka electronic device bag)
*airasia case, the hand baggage+laptop/camera bag are not allowed total over 10kg* (warning from Airasia Japan, when i was carrying a 6kg camera bag + 5kg hand carry)

first class allow Two hand Baggage total not more then 15kg, + One laptopbag AND + One professional Camera bag.
*
U are saying about airasia or emirates??

I don't any word close to the spelling of Emirates also.

On the other hand, these info you can obtain from the airlines' website.

emirates website does not mention anything about camera...only mention that handcarry cannot exceed 7kg..my laptop ady 5kg.. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

ahpingko: i think is general commercial aviation rules eh... its all the airlines i ride before, generally laptop/camera bag + 1 hand baggage not more then 10kg. but hand baggage itself cannot more then 7/8kg at first place.
*
meaning backpack not counted eh?..lol..coz it weighted >11kg

ehhh that one a bit over eh  sweat.gif

best to keep everything on ur hand less then 10kg. and if carry a hand baggage, make sure itself dont pass 7kg lo.
*
QUOTE(zstan @ Feb 22 2013, 11:18 AM)
another tip is your bag must not look heavy. i once handcarried about 10kg worth of backpack but it probably looks like 5-6kg on the outside. don't let the customs see that you are struggling with the weight of your bag and you are fine.
*
try my best already...now 5.5kg..hahahha...detact laptop battery...throw my batt grip/remove external flash/etc...

ohya...is it ok to sling dslr on neck to board the plane?
