Oi soket what is this, spoil the combo only. Unless the pictures inside are chicks lah then we'll be worried! There are data recovery services in KL but I've not tried any of them.

Michael also kept saying the A99 was mirrorless until one magic moment when he suddenly realized it was a translucent mirror thingy and switched his speech.

QUOTE(shootkk @ Mar 22 2013, 09:25 AM) You must forgive her... she has to stick with her style mah... all artistic blur, blur wan mah... On the same tangent, all auto-focus SLRs, even film ones, the main reflective item you see when you take off the lens is not a mirror - the main mirror reflects most light up, except the part where it transmits some light through to reach the secondary mirror (which is a fully reflective and not transmissive mirror) to reach the AF module. You hear ady but not sure she say right or wrong or she mention different categories together or something... that's style for you. In a sense Michael is technically correct... a mirror reflects and does not transmit light. In that sense the A99 can be technically termed as mirrorless... but of course Sony likes to use 'translucent'. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Apr 8 2013, 06:32 PM) ok i have the A99 with me now, no manual so I'll be asking some stuff here from time to time. Yes the lung-shaped ones (the 3) are selectable, from the same menu. Unless you meant the AF-D ones - you can't select those but the closest to getting it is the 3.now the AF points - are they only so few ah? i press FN > AF Area > Choose Local. using that one I can only select 19 AF point, all clustered around the center region only. the lung shaped AF points, are they selectable? |

lwliam: It's quite obvious what happened in both pictures - they both have very bright highlights e.g. the model lit by the spotlight or the bedroom windows. The A65/A77 decided to save the highlights from blowing out so it underexposed and brought the shadows up a few stops (thus making it not the effective ISO you thought you set it to.) Same goes for RAW.

8tvt: There are the Seagull and Octopus SC-5/SC-6 adapters. Those are cheaper, but I don't remember how much they were. I have those, and one of them doesn't work anymore. If it's RM50 (quite likely) and it spoils and you buy another one (what warranty?) then you would have paid the same price as the Sony one.
Cheaper is of course relative to the earlier Sony hotshoe adapter that costed a lot more and used a battery. |

QUOTE(Newbieeeeee @ Jun 7 2013, 06:01 PM) I totally agree 8tvt. Why must Sony change the hotshoe?! We're special like that. Who cares about ISO. So now if I upgrade to A99 I have to change all my flashes to F60? If I buy an A58 now I have to buy F60 also? That's ridiculous. Yes you can say that the converter is RM100. But we didn't have to spend the RM100 last time when everything was Sony hotshoe. The A99 and the F60 come with their respective converters - so you can use the F58 on the A99, and the F60 on the A900. Well the F60 has the adapter now lah, dunno if it will always be included or not. You'll have to buy the adapter if you have just the A58 and F58, though. |

How much more is the Zeiss worth compared to the standard 50mm F1.4?
Well, that depends on your copy. Mine is pretty bad so I had no choice, plus the screw drive on that lens wasn't that speedy or accurate. Shall we have a TT on Sunday for buka puasa? What: Buka Puasa TT Where: KLCC Center Food Court When: 4th August 2013, 7pm onwards Who: 1. albnok 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. This post has been edited by albnok: Aug 2 2013, 11:20 PM |
