There are so many kinds of specialisms within a postgrad degree in education ...for example Special Education Needs, TESL, Education Administration, Early Childhood Education...the list goes on. You just really need to ask yourself what is it that you want out of your masters degree.

Most postgrad programme require a basic bachelors degree (sometimes universities will specify what level, ie at least 2nd class). You should check out this article: http://www.postgradasia.com/resources/articles.asp?ID=allyou which gives you an overview of what postgrad studies is all about.

I'm sure that there are full time courses available, but don't know about part-time. Are you currently working or studying? I do know tht there are online/distance learning courses (eg offered by OUM). You should visit the individual sites to find out more about the courses available.

You can also get this booklet for free at Starbucks: http://www.postgradasia.com/pgbooklet.asp. Its really helpful and has got lots of information about postgraduate study, including a list of universities offering various postgraduate courses. smile.gif

from what i gather, i wouldnt recommend parttime masters in malaysia. the environment is not condusive (talking about malaysian local Us), where all the staffs concentrate more on undergrads and fulltime postgrads. i havent had the chance to check on OUM tho, so do check.

usually a masters degree requires a general degree (BSc, BA etc), and it is almost a sure get-in for those with 3.0 and above. social science postgrads in msia is not very popular though, mostly are science/engineering based.
