Nine investors sue Genneva for fraud

KUALA LUMPUR: Nine investors have filed a suit in the High Court here against Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd and four others for misrepresentation and fraud.

Lawyer Mohamed Siddiq Azani, representing the nine investors, told reporters here Thursday that his clients are claiming RM2mil that they have invested.

He said his clients are suing for misrepresentation by the four defendants on the pretext that the scheme was shariah-compliant.

They have named Genneva and its directors Tengku Muhaini Sultan Ahmad Shah, Philip Lim Jit Meng, Ahmad Khairuddin Ilias and Tan Liang Keat as defendants in the suit.

no shit. but there are plenty of funds that return >10% every single year since inception.

Their supporters damn funny la, still blaming the government, saying this one is government's secret plan.

The fact that nobody from Genneva fans club seek advice and assistance
from its chairperson,Tengku Muhaini Sultan Ahmad Shah, the daughter of

again, no shit. what i was saying is that you can't generalize all funds to have bad years. the term hedge fund means that the returns shouldn't be correlated with the market, for most this isn't true but there are some that have been doing it right and will probably continue to do so. they do this by finding market inefficiencies and arbitraging it again and again, arbitrage implies zero risk. i work in this industry, i think i know what i'm talking about.

I say they would lose the case. Lawyer will argue, as with any investment, no guaranteed profit, and there would be loss incurred.

I have said it in the past and many people have seen it before, and yet they still fall for such schemes... that is why I brand these people as "Gullible Extremistosaurs" and "Greedilicus Stupido".

They are gullible, greedy and worst of all STUPID. The trouble is there are so many of them around!!!! Even when they get scammed, these people refuse to believe they have been scammed. The invent and construct all sorts of excuses to make THEMSELVES believe in so that they don't have to face the truth.

It is really sad. But eventually, most of them see their stupidity and fade away quietly vowing to be smarter the next time.

There used to be tonnes of these people at GMS page but when you look at it now, there are only a few die hards.. Hopefully, these people will not get scammed again the next time something so good comes around..

But I think 70% of them will get scammed again if they have the money to invest.

maybe the next evolution of fantastic investment with super high returns will be based on Computer Software Development Investment Scheme.
