Malaysia Airlines to codeshare Emirates on KL-Dubai route

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines will codeshare Emirates on the four times daily service to Dubai from Kuala Lumpur, effective Feb 15, as part of the partnership sealed between both airlines in early December 2015. In a statement today, Malaysia Airlines said the Kuala Lumpur to Dubai flight frequency will therefore increase from one to four times daily. All flights will be operated on Emirates aircraft.

The service to Dubai will be operated thrice daily on a Boeing 777 and once, on the Airbus 380. Malaysia Airlines will also suspend its Kuala Lumpur-Dubai route by Feb 15 and re-accommodate passengers on the codeshare flights with Emirates. -- Bernama

I wanted to redeem my soon expiring point (35k) to mh golden lounge at melbourne, does it need mas boarding pass to enter? Because i flying using other metal.

Do at airport MH ticket counter, they have this "last min upgrade" thing, any tom and jerry can upgrade by paying cash or miles.

He said his ticket is revenue ticket, class O. Normally this fare class won't be able to upgrade by miles, but allowed to use MHupgrade, and very likely able to upgrade at counter.

I have this economy promo ticket to Beijing 2 years ago, i went to ticket counter at klia, they told me i can pay 30k miles for upgrade

So for those who are not eligible for the 2 cards premier, what is the next best option?

Im about to travel with wife on our economic tics and plan to upgrade to business class seat with my EM. The things is wife is not a frequent flyer and don’t have much miles. What i can think of is to use Enrich Transfer which is at a cost.  Anyone has better option to use instead of using miles transfer for this kinda scenario?

For the last minute upgrade thing, anyone ever experienced doing it at oversea airport counter? can know how much the cost will incur if upgrade using miles?

I didn't know that you could perform last minute upgrade with Enrich Miles. I thought you could only upgrade with additional cash or credit card at the check in counter?

Yes, checked with the local airport counter, there will be charges. But for overseas, im not sure.

i upgraded at KLIA airport, but need to do at MAS ticket counter..
oversea not sure..

Most of my trips only need hand luggage....and if need check in, never exceed 25kg....

Guys. A sudden thought on this.

25000 points are needed to upgrade to Silver.
But until 25th Dec let's say, I have only 23000 points. (The upgrade is valid for points accumulation of 1 year calendar, not 1 year from your joined membership)
So, shortage of 2000 points, which I could acquire from transferring my treat points to make it exceeding 25000 enrich points.
So, does this move will make me a silver card or that 2000 points will be transfered to your total category?

Hi guys,
Anyone knows how many elite sectors you get when you do a local flight, say kl-penang or kl-jb?
Is it 1 sector or 0.5 as I need another 10 sectors to retain gold this year but not flying any international routes in December
I have done kl-kk before and it's 1 elite sector per flight, just never done flights within peninsular before.
Appreciate your help guys.

is it worth the money, to pay for flights you don't need, and waste your time as well, just to get gold?...the only perk i can see of any value is the golden lounge access, which you can also get free with credit cards in ppl stable of outlets...

Enrich now giving very low reward points. flying to shanghai i only got 3++ points. very lousy reward system
