In Msia, during this peak season one can simply walk in and out from the lounge, thats what i do all the times.   This applies to plaza premium lounge as well. No one even care.

That is not the case....they used to proudly advertise their arrived entry.... unless they have changed the rules....

You did have a connecting flight right? Just curios, which Golden did you try to get in? Was it Regional, Satellite or Domestic?

just checked with golden lounge staff at satellite terminal, can access with J class boarding pass on arrival.

so a little napoleon ignorant of policies was in charge at that unfortunate time for mufan....lol

just to share that I did manage to enter Golden Lounge upon arrival with biz class boarding pass.
but too bad it was 4am and they had NOTHING on offer. no food no drinks.

May I know if the business class redemption to Tokyo using Enrich points is worth it? The plane is A330-300. Is the facing of the seat slanted to the side? Is this a totally lie flat bed?

Hi, I took a flight from KLIA to London Heathrow on Emirates. I put down my Enrich Membership number as the loyalty programme when I booked the tickets. My first flight from KL to Dubai was on Emirates. My second flight from Dubai to London was on Qantas which has a codeshare agreement with Emirates. I have been credited Enrich Miles for the Emirates Flight from KL to Dubai. However, I did not receive any Enrich Miles for the Qantas flight from Dubai to London. May I know if I am eligible for Enrich Miles for the Qantas flight?

no wor. only got JL number 6 digits. called up JL office they said i need to checkin at airport to get my seats selected.
i am travelling 5pax and i worry they split our seats..

ya called both and dont have solution. MH told me JL will give ref number, JL said no ref number for codeshare flight and need to check in at airport.
afaik after going through flyertalk, ticketing airline should provide the seat selection option because it is their fault of not loading the operating carrier's seat map. i could be wrong tho..

I normally qualify for gold status by flying >50 elite sectors on a mixture of economy/business  but this year I had a couple of long haul flights which put me at around 80k elite miles.  In 2018 work travel brought me from KUL to Jakarta, ho chi minh, Hanoi, phnom penh, manila, Bangkok, bali, changi, yangon, Vientiane as well as DXB, DOH, AUH, NRT and AKL. Apart from 2 of those flights I flew MAS or oneworld.  I don't enjoy flying so I really can't live without the gold tier benefits such as priority check in and lounge access which go a long way towards making travelling tolerable.

So my aim is maybe 2 business tix to japan in winter 2018 for wife and son and maybe 1 business tix to London for wife for summer 2019.  I'll probably pay my own way for the elite miles/sectors.  Little stories from genx like in the spoiler you posted are actually quite helpful in deciding how to achieve my flying goals for the year.

Small tip:

MH having sales. Anyone who looking to score a Gold Status with enrich. You only need to spend Rm136.42 round ticket (2 elite sector), from KL to JB. 25 times return flight runs which will earn 50 elite sector (Gold Status) with only total Rm3410.5.

Well, cheaper than you spending in business class and flew thousand miles across the ocean~

This must be a stupid question but the Miles will only count if you actually board the flight, I'm assuming?

How fun is it?! I switched over to BAEC cause after calculation, it’s easier to maintain status with BAEC as I do occasionally fly revenue J when the price is right. The only pain is the 4 BA sectors per qualifying period....

For me it’s superrrrrrr low, maybe cause I’m just a Gold, and there may be many more platinum in front of me. My success rate is zero to max 2 a year. And it’s always during CNY or eve of PH on route to SIN. Nil on domestic as maybe there’s many more MH Plat/OWE.

Are you entitled to earn Enrich miles if you buy a ticket from a third party website (e.g. traveloka, kiwi, etc)? Never flown with MAS before apart from buying via MAS website directly or flying via a Oneworld partner.

Still figuring out how to get into Lufthansa First Class Terminal.
