location wise and ease of travel mas still the prefer one.

1. if choose krysflyer, I heard fellow forumers said always need to be on waiting list and therefore this is an issue to consider.

2. if choose asiamiles, location and time consume and waiting list is big issue as everytime we need to fly to hong kong.

3. therefore the only option left for me is to try redeem enrich miles on oneworld partner airlines?

perhaps someone that have more experience can enlighten us? rclxub.gif
*
yes with krisflyer and asia miles you will have the wait list issue, unless your intended destination is served by MH else you will still have this issue if you want to fly other carrier. The likes of CX, QR and SQ has argueably better business class seat anyway.

Even with Asia Miles you transit at HKG, if MH doesnt fly direct to your intended destination you will still end up transiting somewhere. If you are flying business this is not an issue as you may spend your time in the lounge.

I will say find your options and work from there

all 3 daily flights from sin - doh by qatar are operated with a350. I would say worth the trouble to get down to sin to fly off.

Sifus here, what is the best airline that gives me best valued business class seats from KL to Los Angeles/ other USA states? using redemption points, whether EM, AM or Krisflyer Miles?
*
Asia Miles via Multi-carrier award, you are allowed 5 stopovers; 2 open jaws and 2 transits with at least 3 One World carrier (one must be cathay pacific)

cheapest class usually earns only 25% of travelled miles, so ya choose the one that you intend to redeem. unless your intended route are served directly by MH else go for skywards.

Guys. A sudden thought on this.

25000 points are needed to upgrade to Silver.
But until 25th Dec let's say, I have only 23000 points. (The upgrade is valid for points accumulation of 1 year calendar, not 1 year from your joined membership)
So, shortage of 2000 points, which I could acquire from transferring my treat points to make it exceeding 25000 enrich points.
So, does this move will make me a silver card or that 2000 points will be transfered to your total category?
*
To upgrade FFP status you need to fly

If you look into your account, only when you fly the miles are recorded as "Elite Miles". You need 25,000 Elite Miles to upgrade. Those miles you transfer from credit card are just miles and are not considered.

My AF miles were credited quite fast but for a couple of QR flights I had to wait for close to 6 months and had to send tons of email to get it done.

funny, I flew with QR few months back and I got my miles in pretty quick.

I think they made a BIG error. What they mean is normal rate is 150,000 RETURN but now is 90,000 RETURN for J. The 300,000 is an error i think. Otherwise, are they joking or what? bangwall.gif

Class of ticket

150,000 one way is correct for C class, while 75,000 One way is for Z Class. You are probably allowed to change your ticket with a C Class ticket but essentially it is still only a business class seat. I didn't read up the difference so pardon me if this is wrong.

http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/us/en/enri...rich-miles.html

But it is silly because if you browse through most of the date within the promo period, the system show you the lowest Enrich Miles required which is 75,000 one way. This essentially means that the business class promo is as good as none which lead us to the first class that is not better than their last minute promo few months back of 78k Enrich Miles one way.

this is big, big fat troll by MH.

The promo for SMART is 90k one way but because the system show the lowest miles required which is Basic at 75k one way (No promo). Unless you call and ask for a SMART ticket (not so smart then) or on that particular day the Basic tickets are sold out, then you will be able to book the SMART ticket (stupid ticket actually)

I'm awaiting points conversion from my credit card into MH Enrich, cant see how many points needed by now.

May I know:

1) If I want to redeem tickets to Hong Kong flying from KUL, normal economy class round trip, how many enrich points needed?

2) I plan to redeem for my kids / parents, any limitation I can redeem for?
*
Enrich never works for short-haul

Krisflyer gives more value for short haul, example for HKG

SIN-HKG 23,375 Krisflyer Miles + SGD 34 Business Class

KUL-SIN-HKG 23,375 Krisflyer Miles + RM 295.50 Business Class

Of course then your problem is the availability of seat with SIA.

Hi,

I have some Enrich Miles and would like to redeem KUL to LHR or HKG to LHR return, I know how to search using the Enrich online redemption but how do I search availability on partner airlines under Oneworld??? Please help and if possible help me find the availability for Cathay Pacific and British Airways and how many points? Just to clarify: those Enrich miles can be used to redeem Cathay Pacific flights? If yes, why do people sometimes convert to Asia Miles? because of another set of partner airlines? If Enrich miles can be used on Oneworld partner airline redemption, then still OK to convert points to Enrich Miles right?? thanks!!!
*
for OW partner you need to call, no option to redeem OW partner with Enrich Miles. I think some forummer reported here that they typically tell you seats are not available.

Pls try and let us know the outcome.

Between, it seems like MH has decided to upgrade the HKG route with A330?

MH72 / 73 will be operated with A330 effective 1st January 2017.

From my experience, I search the route which I want, identify the flight number. Call to Enrich, tell CS that I want to redeem the OW carrier tickets.  CS will ask us to wait, they need to confirm with the other end.  If the tickets are available, CS will reconfirm and inform other charges and tax. Payment via credit card, payment successfully. They will issue tickets and sent to our email. Later we use booking number to log in and select prefer seat.
I think if direct use Asia Miles to redeem, u can know the result immediately plus Asia Miles tax and surcharge may be lower.
My first redemption took me 30 minutes via phone. My second redemption almost one hour only can be done.
*
so your redemption cost 30k miles for HKG - SIN?
