the taxes/charges do NOT tally between redemption and cash booking....

Enrich - 200k++ miles
SQ - 170k miles (but higher airport charges and taxes)
Asia Miles - 140k and you can choose British Airways or MAS for direct, Cathay or Qatar with 1 stopover.

For the Asia Miles, i’m not sure if the redemption for MAS stays at 140k. Since you need to submit an online form and they will get back to you. Others like BA, CX and Qatar can see the points required online.

Funny story to share from earlier this year...it's cheaper to fly HKG-KUL-LHR than it is to fly direct KUL-LHR.

I redeemed my Enrich points for this journey, paid lesser miles than I had if I took KUL-LHR, and get to spend an extra 4 hours flying business class out of Hong Kong and enjoying the incredible Cathay lounge (MAS shares their lounge with Cathay in HK). It took about 240k miles for my family to travel business class return (two adults and one baby).

I suppose MAS is trying to fill up their KUL-LHR flights and this is the reason for it...until today I wasn't very sure why this is the case.

Anyway the only down side is the flight was very tiring but that was probably due to the baby being cranky and not letting us get much sleep even during the flight to London. On the plus side she got a seat all to herself because there were not that many people travelling in Business, and the flight attendants were kind enough to cheer her up.

By staying and living in Zhuhai and taking the HKZM Bridge to HKIA, haha.

I have around 200k enrich miles now...I need to claim it all by May next year...any suggestions where to go? The only problem is I stay in China so HKG enrich redemption is quite limited. The longest haul was to LHR...I might have no choice but to claim that route again.

I saw some comments about claiming miles into Dubai as a stopover, maybe worth a thought.

For 2 pax, probably KUL-HK... (around 25k miles economy return)

Since Enrich redemption is tied to fare, it need more point for popular destination like Seoul (40k) 

or redeem 1 KUL-London return and pay for another 1, then share the cost together

Hi does anyone know, base on previous years will they be enrich redemption promo ie 30% or 50% off for flight? If yes when?

MAS is going from bad to worse, I think their financial woes is causing them to make decisions that impact the quality and value for money.

No longer a good choice, unless you really hate transits
