Hello guys...
Experts urgently needed to cure my "headache" !!!!!!!!
been researching this for quite a while....
let's say we want to maximise the display capability from our xbox 36 to an LCD/Plasma/CRT ... do we need the TV to be HDTV Tuner Integrated ? or just a normal TV with HDTV ready will do ?
does Xbox 360 process the HD display by it's own.. and just needed a TV with HDTV ready to display the processed data ???
THanks in advance... for the help....

There's no such thing as integrated HDTV tuner in Malaysia coz we wont be having HDTV terrestrial transmission at least till 2010...HDTV ready will do.

like cyclon said, the tuner only for receiving HD broadcast over the air. our gov says this year will be the year they'll roll out HD broadcast, that i heard 2 years ago. don't know they change the plan or not.

Not HD broadcast..digital broadcast, and even that only to selected beta testers....so probably no need for arial...but still needs of digital tuner box.

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Mar 15 2006, 08:02 AM) oh great! digital signal, but not HD? Yeah...exactly, why the hell do we need digital broadcast and not HD?? ASTRO is digital and the quality sucks!!! This is evident when there is lots of action on-going and the heavy pixelation is like watching bad pirated VCD!!! More example of our gov wasting money without understanding technology. Why we need digital?
1) more channels can be broadcast (probably not applicable to msia since we only have very little) 2) interactive content and extra features 3) clearer picture, less interference 4) Electronic proggramming guide
anyway a digital is a step towards HD. Taking one step at a time is not such a bad idea.

Astro is digital, but the decoder convert the digital signal into analog signal so that it can be displayed on a standard TV.

i see most TV LCD got 1366(H) X 768(V). to my understanding, the low HD format is 1280x720 which is 720p. how come non of the TV LCD have native resolution at 1280x720p ?
