lower ohms will give you:

1. half damping factor
2. 2 times more distortion
3. 2 times more energy loss
4. etc etc.

But yeah... thats just the theory of it... Who cares anyway... pff...

thanks guys....i have chosen my amp....went for the DLS A6

got it second hand for bout 1.8k....

the damping factor is not very high but it sound decent

i think at 2ohm, monoblock would still sound decent

i recently tried my friend's car who is running at 1ohm...he was boasting that his sub is dual voice coil and he ran both the sub parallel...and his american sound produce 3kW+ at 1ohm...the sound was terrible....everything was out of control even with such high power....maybe it was the setting but it just didnt sound right

need i say more?
