Finally tested your method on mex these 2 days and found out I can have 24km/l every trip

But how if at city road with lots of traffics and turning ?
*
Yes stuck in traffic jam the FC can be terrible, probably 15km/l and less. If city drive with lot of junction, then you don't even have much chance to charge the battery full.

Try imagine for conventional engine car, their FC could even worst as they keep idle and use more fuel when move when jam.

Yes, the battery replacement cost... haha

But we only will think about it after 8-10 years. By then we probably had change to another Hybrid or EV car. rclxms.gif

Import duties on cars from Japan to be reduced to 0% by 2016 (Update)

http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...25&sec=business

Since year 2000, they said will abolish the Car Import Tax for car import from ASIAN country. But it had been 13 yrs nothing much had change. Now another 3 years? Let see if Proton release EV and REEV, some tax will impose to Proton's competitors again.

I don't think Hybrid car will 100% tax free after 2013 if BN still the Government.

US manual says:

Front:
35 psi (240 kPa, 2.4 kgf/cm2 or bar)
Rear:
33 psi (230 kPa, 2.3 kgf/cm2 or bar)
Spare:
60 psi (420 kPa, 4.2 kgf/cm2 or bar)

These are for cold tyre. We normally pump when tyre is hot, so I pump 36psi
*
for the spare we should also pump 35-36 psi

Cause US spec spare tyre are those space save tyre (thinner), where ours is full size sport rim tyre.

I dont think it will be so soon, maybe another 10 more years....as Japan still want to manufacturer of it themself, this is to prevent copying technology, as all Knows Toyota Hybrid is the top selling car with its Technology.  Prius from 1st Generation up to now also it been manufacture in Japan and no other places...Not even in Thailand also....
*
Correction...

Prius & Camry Hybrid are manufacture in Thailand. So you can see Prius & Camry Hybrid in Thailand but can't found any Prius C, cause in Thailand Prius is almost same price Prius C due to import duty.

Maybe only Prius C still remain in Japan.

Some imbecile douchebag... sad.gif any idea how much this is going to cost? I might go to seek Toyota Service Centre.

*
Toyota SC will be more expensive, guess at least RM1k, if other good quality workshop may be RM700-1000

My advise is just leave it first, then you can repaint & repair the dents all in one go with other scratches.

Honestly, a lot of reckless driver & motor rider in KL. We can't totally avoid scratches & dents.

Nah, don't think it's going to cost that much. But I will consult Toyota.
*
Last time my car kena scratch, four part repaint, 2 side doors and side front & behind. Cost me RM600-700
Even bumper repaint will cost RM200++ for normal shop. Of cause depends on work quality & the warranty provided.

My PC bonnet had deep dents (Stone), ask Toyota SC, they quote about RM400 repaint for 1 piece. Repair with Toyota SC is not cheap.

Just count how many pieces to repaint plus your is Pearl White (additional Cost), you will roughly know the cost.

Good Luck

he quoted me repaint my whole rear bumper, rm160 for pearl white biggrin.gif

ps: i havent paint yet
*
Just share some repaint experience of my parent car, repaint really depends on the quality of workmanship. Some may cut corner in order to charge customers cheaper. Resulted the repaint part start pearling after 2-3 years. After all it look so ugly.

Please get warranty whenever possible, so they will more careful & won't cut corner when repainting even they charge slightly extra. So that you won't face the same problem as me.

Done my 2nd service - only RM 68 - RM 40 E Voucher = RM 28...

Regarding the last time I posted about the dent and scratch, Toyota has quoted me the paints and knocking as below, cost RM 1700++. I guess I will just claim the insurance and let Toyota handles everything since it still worth it despite knocking off the 1st NCB which is around RM 650 only.
*
RM1700++ Wow, much more then we expected. With that cost you can repaint the whole car.

Hope you now believe repair cost in Toyota SC never be cheap.

Not sure you will need to have a polis report in order to claim insurance and polis may saman you for accident cause (RM300).

what do you think of the second hand value of the car
*
So fast think about resale value? So you mean resale after 1 year or 5 years or 10 years?? Certainly no one can tell you the price until the day you intend to sell.

BTW do you own PC?

Probably you can try check it on mudah.com.my

Some selling at 85-90k

Toyota & Honda car always have the best resale value compare to others.

Hi there, i'm interested with this car, might consider to buy next year.
Just want to know what the top speed u guys can achieve with prius C aside the 170km provided at toyota pages.
*
Prius C is a great ECO/Green car with state of the art safety system.
Although my self had achieve 180km/h and feel still very stable, but this is not the main design for it.

What we mean by green car is it not main for speed and acceleration. But to save fuel and comfort. Petrol car can do much better then PC. but not the fuel saving part.

If you like speeding with good pick up and handling, you just look at the wrong car. Why not CR-Z which sporty and really can speed.

I seldom speeding as I drive in town, but I just wonder how far this car can go up to.
2 seated CRV not my type, for that price I rather top up and go for the PRIUS.What I scare is will government extent tax exemption for hybrid car?
*
That is really a good question. Everyone just do their guessing.

One thing for sure, if no extension of tax examption for hybrid car, you will having trouble order it after the budget.

SA would said, sorry this year order with tax exemption had full. Just like what happened to Audi A6 Hybrid, 2013 order had fully place after the launch.

To play safe, better place order b4 the budget and you may delay the delivery or cancel booking anytime.

Reducing Balance Depreciation?? sweat.gif

Best is just compare with used car market price.

Most of time car depreciate faster then 10% rate.
