QUOTE(kenny_nd @ Mar 27 2006, 08:59 PM) In reality. Imagine if the computer doesnt say it has 533Mz FSB or 400MHz FSB or 667MHz FSB. When you use it you actually won't feel a difference. It just makes you feel better buying 1 with higher numbers. cheers! for someone normal like you, perhaps for us, we do feel the powah so dun play play... sisoft sandra, 3dmarks and such never tell lies... and if u r a multitasking freak, who open up 20 firefox windows (with 4 tabs in each), play 2 videos with always-on-top mode, while your autocad is idling away at the background, waiting for you to input fresh design ideas, u'll get the drift even on lappie.

Haha,u are saying that u are a HEAVY/POWER user.. Anyway,i think its actually ok for normal user like what u said,so instead of spending extra money to get 533mhz FSB,get the 400mhz FSB ones are good enough.

QUOTE magine if the computer doesnt say it has 533Mz FSB or 400MHz FSB or 667MHz FSB. When you use it you actually won't feel a difference. Although this thread is about mobile CPU, FSB speed do have big difference. It is even more significant on a dual-core Pentium CPU where they are utilizing the FSB for communication. A lot of people already know the difference on 66MHz vs 100MHz FSB back then.

hello....newbie here...im a user of compaq presario m2251....turion la of coz... my view on this proc...actually for now it is under utilize...for me there are not so many prog that i use which utilize 64 bit.....same as dual core.... even windows did not fully utilize dual core, or 64 bit computing.....in my opinion...it all depends on what software u use that utilize dual core technology or 64 bit computing...take intel duo core 1.6Ghz, if the program didnt utilize dual core.....the processor only using one 1.6 core only...which for me is quite slow....same as turion 1.6/1.8.....
but for future-wise.....when vista is out.... both technology will be used....n from wut i read....64 bit computer will benefit from vista coz 64 bit computing can crunch twice the operation number as 32-bit....n the price of turion is far cheaper than intel duo core.....
n for me compaq is quite good brand lar...never experience the "electricity leak"(btw my father asus lappie hav this)...n when i sent the notebook to the service center...the service is really good, sent it before 12 noon, u can hav it back the same day.....+ the 3 years warranty i bought, hav on site responce..meaning they come to ur place n take the lappie for you....like dell....i mean how convenience is that...acer didnt hav this.
the downside of this compaq is really the heat n battery life......amd turion is really hot when u use for 1 hour +....battery life oso not great....2 hours ++ oni on lowest settings...but thats it...oso heard people complain about the battery...use for 7-8 months n then battery dead oredi..... btw i really happy with this lappie...(maybe if after this lappie got prob i will change this statement...hehehe)
plz correct my views if any error there....

How much to upgrade to 3 years warranty? personally for me..the answer is yes.....i give it to them at 1030 am...got phone call around 530pm the same day asking me to pick up my lappie....got the motherboard changed....the service counter people told me if u send the lappie before 12pm....big chance youre getting ur lappie back the same day....but this is in their damansara serive center lar(headquarter)...usually service in their headquarter suppose to be fast lar... upgrade to 3 years onsite response for RM360....cheaper than Dell...but now promotion they giving it for free....damn!
