Hey guys.

Help and advice please. Last night I was playing game and my TV screen from time to time it went blank and on then blank then on. And finally suddenly went totally blank (no sound as well). I'm using HDMI cable. When it went blank it said "Unsupported signal" on TV screen. I changed the port on the TV (HDMI2 to HDMI1) and still same result so it must not be the TV port.

If it's just the cable problem then ok but I'm just afraid that it's the port on my console. How?? Help please. The console still works fine when the screen went blank.

(NOTE: I was playing AC3 and there was an update for the game. It couldn't happened from the downloaded update right?)

Usually it's the HDMI cable give way to years of tangling. Try to change the cable and see. The port won't get damage that easily

Have you tried using the component output? If it works then it's probably not the console dying and that only leads to the port or the cable.

No I haven't. Will try when I have the time. I just really hope it's not the console. But if it's the console, it is repairable? Simple?

I doubt it's the Xbox port (or the TV) that's the problem. It's probably the cable itself or the displays settings on the xbox got messed up somehow.

Try using a component cable (rgb) instead.

You can also try looking at the website below to reset your settings (read comment section as well).
