i think for us fresh grads, salary aint that important. whats important is we get to learn what we do, we are still young and will get many more opportunities in the future.. for fresh grads i feel that we should just come out and know about the working life, how it is, how to work in a company/office and the environment around it.  just my thought biggrin.gif

btw, need some advise, am currently a software engineer in a local listed company which does HR softwares, i do the programmings etc. Been in the job for 6 months right out of college, participated in the MDC intern and now will be getting my confirmation letter soon. initial plan was to work for a year before leaving, however i was wondering as i am in the IT field, if we come out to work in another company, we need to learn the programming language anew again cos there are so many programming languages around and not all uses the same. do u all think it will be difficult? even though currently the language used in the company is already obsolete?.. do u all think it will be hard to find another job that is IT related ?

A good programmer can adapt to any language easily enough if he puts some effort in it. IT is a field that always advances so you're stuck with learning for the rest of your life.
