You need to set carrier setting as "manual" and choose "MAXIS"....
Thats it ! it settles the issue...
I was having so much trouble with it...imagine that i need to restart the phone everytime i come out from the lift....gila !

I filed complaint to Maxis and they checked and mentioned no network issue.
Second time, walked to Maxis center and showed them the issue. Few days later they feedback is iPhone 5 issue and they will feedback to iPhone for bug fix
I don't think this issue is due iOS issue. I was with uMobile 2 weeks ago and I didn't have this issue. 100% is maxis issue but they blamed iOS.
