» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I just bought my iPhone 5 last friday from celcom. My iPhone uses a proper nano sim from celcom, while my one x uses a micro sim cut from a Celcom normal sim. Enabled 3G on settings in iPhone but this happened. Rebooted/airplane mode multiple times but to no avail. Any tips? P/S: signal not strong enuf is BS coz my one x is riding on HSDPA all the time. Don't even have to force it in the settings. This is the only thing thats stopping me from enjoying my iPhone as a daily driver so if you have any tips, do share.

Your welcome I googled about Auto3G and from what i can understand, it turns off 3G when you lock your phone to conserve battery life. Can we actually use it to force iPhone to connect to 3G all the time? Like how android can force the modem to connect to 3G/HSDPA?

Yes it forces it to use 3G and not edge just make sure you set everything 3G. Now still 3G, no more edge d

Can i grab the 6.1.2 update somewhere and use it to update my iPhone before i jailbreak? Because 6.1.3 is out and no jb for it BTW do you happen to know any good theme sites? So far only Jaku catches my eye. The last apple product i JB'd was an ipod 2G so its been a very long time. No idea what happened to the theming scene (long live Dulce theme)

For those who are not jailbreaker's. maybe you want to try these method. Go to Settings 1. Carrier - used manual selection (select your service provider) 2. General>Cellular - Always switch on 3g. ONLY switch off cellular. DO NOT need to switch off 3g selection if you doesn't need 3g or you want to safe battery power. Mine works well now.

Auto3g will not run smooth after a few reboot. Mine have problem. Maybe is just me?

these are what I faced after installing Auto3g. After reboot. the 3g selection is not working because of that even the IP5 unit able to obtain an IP I'm not able to surf the internet or whatever because the 3g cannot turn on. anyway! my method will do you no harm because you don't need to JB your unit because of the auto3g. Just sharing. This post has been edited by OCMAX: Mar 25 2013, 09:11 AM
