maxis also QOS our Load via Balancing to 10Mbps per users only  doh.gif

see the power of Load Balancing by Huawei International ~ Maxis solution partner

but some of us still can get over 16mbps hmm.gif

btw this is mine, at non-DC area

guess so... its still early in the morning.. and i doubt a lot of people here use maxis...

problem is our QoS now is 42000, and being Load Balanced to use only 10Mbps ~ Best Speed Effort ~ Maxis Tagline

same way we Load Balance our router so that every member of our family have access to the main Internet connection in a home , the Father have full bandwidth, children only have a fraction of the bandwidth allocated laugh.gif

10Mbps is my own assumption figure

Load balance will also let you to have full bandwidth if users density in that area is less, like Chuah's place. Steven Tan and Fruitie's place is densly populated ( by Maxis users), hence sucky speed. but no worries every one there will atleast get 1Mbps to surf ~ also Best Speed Effort laugh.gif

Welcome, bro.

2Mbps?  laugh.gif

Can't wait to see you complain "Maxis cheated me! The best I can get is only 10Mbps, I've checked my QoS, it's 42000/8640, why can I get at least half of it which is 21Mbps???!  vmad.gif"

HOHOHO! Happy Holidays! biggrin.gif

im using maxis e372 > usb extension 5 meter > mr3420 v1 router(openwrt firmware) > cat6 lan cable > my laptop..the hint is fint the best spot to put ur modem first and from there u can get nice ping and dload/upload speed smile.gif

lowest ping i can get is 28 but its on 7 a.m but now the ping maintain between 30-40ms only smile.gif

i believe if your cable is Cat5, your speed would be slower, Cat6 or Cat6e is the way to go

meanwhile, i managed to found a sweet spot even though my MF680 dun shows purple today ~ via WiFi only cause i hang the mr3420+mf680 on the celling
