I'm not malaysian but I understand simple malay and I have a dictionary on my phone, problem is that I don't understand the abbreviations.

For example this:

"ti me jumpa u kat pool k. .ti me datang cna"

I get there's english mixed up in there and she says "I see you at pool", and "I come", but what is "ti" and what is "cna". typo? english? Malay?
BTW this is in Sabah

"i'll see you at the pool later ok? i will go there. "

I dont understand why why she needed the second line. seems redundant to me.
I don't understand how you could be in this situation.

If you dont speak malay, just tell them you dont understand malay and they would be happy to SMS you in English. I don't even SMS my chinese friends in BM, let alone foreigners.

Yeah IF they can speak english. in sabah a lot of girls can't.

Anyway I turned up, sat with her for like d10 mins, then some other guy came in and she just went off to sit with him? What the hell? Is that normal? I thought it was gonna be a proper date.

anyway, I wait like 10 mins, she still sitting with the other guy, not even looking my way, her purse and phone still at my table. The other guy has his arm around her n shit. So I just pay my bill and leave. i sent her a message like "I wanted to go out with u not watch u with another guy all night, just tell me u already have a boyfriend next time". That was like 2hours ago, she didn't reply back.

Another girl I text last week, I ask her to go for a drink some time, she said, "sure just call or txt me" and some smiley faces n shit. I txt her again yesterday she replied "who is this?" I told her who, and no reply.

What the hell is with these local girls? It's just kind of insulting, I can handle rejection, but don't bullshit me please.

maybe , but if you don't reply, they might not understand why it's not cool.

Kind of difficult here for me, I got to work here a long time and most local girls english is not good enough to get close, I'm not rich enough to get the well educated girls. Also it's pretty hard to actually find a malay tutor. It's really hard to learn a foreign language at age 30. I know some filipinos come here and learn it in like 5 months, but if you are not raised as bilingual it's really hard to learn new languages.

must be too rich to get well educated girls?
Those studying or working in Sabah usually communicate in local native language/slang. Often time they dont find the need to speak English. But that doesn't mean they are not well educated.

Not needing to speak English and not be able to speak English are quite easy to differentiate. And yeah, for the most part well educated girls generally don't go out with 30 year old guys doing grease monkey work living in a room above a bar.

30? Are you looking for teenage girls or something? 30 is hardly undateably old.

no it isn't but if a young guy has no house and a shit car, it's because he's young, he's just starting out. if a 30 year old is in that situation, he's probably in a rut. That's the difference. Women think about stuff like this.

Anyway, think of it this way, imagine you went to a country where, for whatever reason, 50% of perfectly good women are unattainable to you. That's kind of how I feel. It just makes it twice as hard to get a girlfriend, which wasn't easy for me to begin with.
