HI,

I've been using Falken ZE912 for my vios 14" Rim.
Changed 3 times pass 3 years.

The last change quality so worst compare few years back.
So noise n bumpy make me though is my car problem...

Now start BOTAK and need to change already.
Read the forum mostly recommend XM2, Yoko Cdrive2..

I travel bout 100km every day (highway average 110km/h)
Which brand and model recommended?

prefer price rm200+- ..

TQ

If ur looking for a bit of performance, take d C-Drive 2. Was also hunting for it when one of my cars needed fresh rubber but d shop was out of stock n could not tell me when replacements will arrive.

XM2 is geared towards comfort n they r one of the most expensive out there. U can checkout my own findings on d XM2 here: http://blog.carlist.my/tag/michelin-xm2/

Expect faster tire wear on d Yokos compared to Michellins coz of softer rubber compound.

falken ze912 is not for comfort drive since it mean for performance drive..
plus ze912 is a cheap tire for performance type of tyre...

Yoko C drive2 is stand between Comfort and Performance..

i only tried ze912 and Cdrive2 on my previous Gen2..and for performance indeed i love ze912 more since better grab while raining..
thats why need sacrifice comfort to archive better performance.

my experience with ze912 is very noisy but not bumpy like what u said...maybe becoze i just change all absorber?
usually cruise my Gen2 at 130km-170km with great driving experience...

if u got enuf money can buy those ALL season performance and comfort tyre but unfortunately usually those tyre comes with 16INCH min..

i never tried xm2 but look like many review said xm2 is great tyre for comfort drive

Added on December 12, 2012, 8:21 pmu can fed up with ze912..

becoz it is a cheapo tire..

a good falken tire is Azenis PT722...
go upgrade ur vios rims to 16/17 inch and use the PT722... haha

Added on December 12, 2012, 8:23 pmsince u traveling at 110km according to national standard highway speed limit...

XM2 is very good for ya.

i am using xm1. it got a squeaky sound when cornering in carpark.
for yoko a drive , it is smooth without sound.

noise wise, not sure lo din compare them...

xm1 produce squeaky sound

means~!~~

i am a good tire... laugh.gif

mean the tire have a better grip levels

unlike the cheapo yoko a drive

indeed yoko A drive is eco tire..very cheapo. but less grip, less squeky sound, high risk to aquaplanning in wet road
yoko Cdrive2 is more expensive and more better

Added on December 12, 2012, 8:47 pmfor YOKO tire currently i want to try YOKO ADVAN DB since the review is very interesting

maybe my next change is YOKO ADVAN DB

that is not necessarily true. squeak != better grip

hehe...

yes i pop up wrong info..

but squeak sound usually show how the tire is highly contacted with the road surface...
and unfortunate the wear-resistant maybe not good to this type of tire...that why squeak sound can be heard

the best tire is less squeak and better grip laugh.gif

I have used ZE912 before, and would agree with you this tyre sucks big time. Well, price isn't expensive too.

If you want good ones for your tyre size, then go for XM2.

Can we expect C.Drive 2 to last 60,000km under normal driving conditions?

In my previous car I used A.Drive, that's why I'm interested in C.Drive2. If it doesn't last as long, then why not splurge a little and go to XM2 if it lasts longer.

For me I'm looking for a balance between NVH & longevity, grip levels as good as or better than A.Drive

Totally agree with u. No problem on raining (heavy 1) using ze912.. even 80km/h at super duper heavy rain..
(slow down becoz cannot see the screen not becoz of tyre)

i think going to try xm2 .. anyway, depend the tyre shop offer me which can get good price..

because on dry grip and NVH c drive 2 is much better.

wet grip is very subjective as neither are performance tires.
however i've ran my car over 170-180 km/h under wet in straight lines on MEX highway before and around 130-140km/h on corners also at MEX highway (not very sharp, around nirvana area) under heavy rain.

don't take my word on it and try it out yourself as these are rather dangerous moves and neither c drive 2/xm2 are performance tires.
don't want to take the blame on causing accidents (or worse, fatalities) for providing tire feedback.

however my point is that c drive 2 are good on grip/NVH, albeit not so good on pricing (there are cheaper tires no doubt) and treadwear (very soft compound)
i've mentioned before that in tires, you can't have everything, between pricing/grip/NVH/treadwear, you take your pick.
eg: tires like goodyear eagle f1 as2 you can prolly have all grip/nvh/treadwear, however go figure out how much it cost per piece smile.gif
