la... it's just like video lar.. got divx, rm, *.mov, *.dat, *.avi

so, sho farking cares?

if u really concern about quality, then all that extension is important

highest quality is lossless audio, usually in FLAC format. the files are like 10x the mp3 size

wma is microsoft's version of mp3

rm is real media's music file

mp4 is sumthing stoopid

and many more

but wma and rm are less files than mp3...
in other words normal mp3 is 5MB, wma & rm are about 2MB...
does this mean that wma & rm are low quality than mp3??? huh.gif

I think 192kbps is the standard bitrate for most mp3 format users, while 128kbps will be sufficient for those using AAC format. Basically more bitrate better audio quality but takes up more storage space and vice versa.

So far 192kbps is not standard
The most standard is still 128kbps, 192kbps more towards optimum bitrate for CBR

For me, I prefer VBR all the way, and also like OGG audios, sound quality good at low bitrates, followup by AAC

As for FLAC and Monkey Audio, I have some of them, although file size is big, just accept it anyway because it is Lossless and smaller than WAVE files wink.gif
