For gaming...from what i've read i recommend at least 512 + 256 mb ram
so = at least need 768mb ram

if can get 1gb cheap...get it

anyway for graphic card can check laptop graphic card discussion thread
i got a very good review there... (-;

when u say a bit, be ready to have ur batt life cut into half

and the heat hovers around 65C at the hdd

even 4x120mm stuck at the bottom and sides of the lappie won't help

best way to improve your lappie performance?

get a NEW one that has 6800GO (at least) or a 7800GT GO for pure l33tness + core duo

dell insipron 9000 series has this option. so does alienware.

There is a trick and tweak to able to reduce the heat as u talk about.
Install the Centrino Hardware Control (for lappies Intel only,i think)..

in my case
the default voltage to run max my 1.4Ghz is set default to 1.484v
so,i tweak it until the notebook hang....i managed to get it to run at max 1.4Ghz using 1.068V only.
This really helps to reduce (as u say) 65C to about 55C but using fan blowing at the direction the notebook while u surf or type will even reduce to 50C..

Just increase your ram, make sure your video driver is up to date, invest a faster hard drive and keep background processes as low as possible, disabling some rarely use services in window helps a lot too..U can get the guide by googling smile.gif

mr futurisco.. u mention in ur sig.. that u will get the 7800 go gtx...
just wondering... (this statement has nothing to do with the above one).... is it possible... even though i know its impossible till now... except some high tech laptop manufacturers like alienware that can "upgrade ur laptop graphic".....
can a normal laptop be upgraded too???
