can i use whatsapp on nexus 7?

my friend wanna buy me a tablet, which one is better?

galaxy tab 7.7 or nexus 7 32gb 3g?
*
tab 7.7
Better and bigger screen (better for watching movies)
better audio(same as above)
better build
rear camera
memory card slot
can use for calling

nexus 7
better processor (gaming)
better software support
pure vanilla android experience

tab 7.7 (original set) is slightly more expensive than nexus 7 32gb 3G. If you don't mind,
price difference
software update
little difference to gaming or minimal lag in swiping the homescreen

Then tab 7.7

Once you tasted super amoled hd screen, other screen seem pretty bad, hehehe

I prefer Nexus 7 screen over Galaxy Nexus. The taste is not too heavy. biggrin.gif Coming from a kindle fire, im extremely satisfied with the screen of Nexus 7.

No i mean when i buy will face those issues
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801464
*
Screen Lift / Separation
Headphone Socket Not Working
Wi-Fi Dropping
Battery / Power Drain
Defective OEM Charger
Battery Will Not Charge
Dead Pixels
Light Bleed
USB Connector Broken Out Of The Box
Touchscreen Non Functioning
Crackling Speaker
Screen Tearing

Amongst all these issues listed, the one i've seen here are screen lift, power drain, crackling speaker. That's it. Probably i missed out on the earlier Nexus 7 thread and there are those who faced with those problems. But it just prove to show new users doesn't face with those issues.

Anyone know roughly what's the price for Google Nexus 7 32GB 3G+Wifi in those Asus retail store?

I only know SenQ is selling for RM1099 for that spec, but that's it. How about others?

Thanks!
*

Just compare with Sony Xperia Tablet S. Don't know getting which one.  rclxub.gif
*
Just realised this Sony tablet specs quite solid. improved design looks nicer aswell. I would say if you prefer a bigger screen should go for that one, on the pretext that price is not an issue.

Sorry, may I know RRP stand for?

Recommended retail price. Buy from sellers in garage sales or Senq. They are reliable.

Ya. Because it confused.
*
Confused with the previous model. But this new one is alot better than the first one. Specs wise and design. Made up your mind? The sony tablet is a more complete tablet. But Nexus 7, if you can live with the shortcomings, should serve you just fine. smile.gif

hmm.gif  i wanna ask, the Nexus 7 provided by newegg is being covered in Asus international warranty or US warranty only ?

Coz i saw some posts that the model that newegg carry is not covered under International Warranty
*
this question has been asked many times in this thread. the warranty is asus international warranty. you can claim your warranty in malaysia. no problem.

20% deposit is too much. Rm200? Rm50 also need to think twice.
*
There was another of his selling thread going on for some times ady. And the two person who gave the feedback are actually users from this thread. So at least there are still an amount of credibility in it.

Then it's fine. But 20% he's asking is really too much as deposit. Even if the buyer didn't show up, will he really lose that much? Rm50 is fine though  laugh.gif
*
Maybe RM200 is the margin of profit or he suffered loss before due to customer cancel purchase we wouldn't know. smile.gif

sad to say but yes. Games like NFSMW seems to lag quite a bit for me. Asphalt is better but with occasional freezes.
*
Alot of games lag from time and time.

zombiewood
subway surfers
NFS most wanted
modern war soldiers of glory

These are the few i've tested.

I use tablet mostly to sruf net and midcore gaming

Thx  laugh.gif

Sometimes it could be down to few games itself not reaching maturity. Eg. Subway Surfers. One major update after that no more lag. Browsing is superb.

p/s: Anyone facing issues with scrolling using google chrome? I have to scroll alot of times to reach to the top page. cry.gif

If not doing the comparing with others still OK. I'm doing photography things so the color quite important.

anyway anyone here using with magnet?
*
Most of us here are using a magnetic cover. The magnetic sensor is located on the bottom left around NFC chips there.

Btw, Nexus 7 screen colour should and could have been better. Read a review of Nexus 7 and apparently the problem with the screen is a software issues. Hence a software update with better calibration would have improve the screen colour of Nexus 7.

OK good news for the color issues.

Now at lowyat plaza, at this moment can't find cover with magnet.
*
Im not sure whether what i've read is accurate. Or Asus will ever provide us with the update if it is true.

Its hard to find a cover for Nexus 7 in m'sia. Even if you manage to find one, the price will be substantially marked up. if you can wait, then i suggest you to buy from ebay or amazon. If not, try to search at garage sales. A couple of reputable members here like 'shirogawa' and 'tskhor' are selling those cover with magnet.

I live in SG...I'd believe I've search every corner known. Result - Failed. Only Original Asus Nexus 7 casing but left with PINK or TURQUOISE. So I had to order from Amazon for my SPECK case.  whistling.gif
*
How much is the original cover being sold there? And which shopping complex did you went to? I only checked at the shopping near Sentosa there and can't find any. Im using the original cover btw. To activate the sleep and wake function, I cut off my Gnex flip cover, took off the magnet and paste it on the cover. biggrin.gif

It's sold at SGD 29.90..available mostly at Sim Lim Square & Fun an Digital Mall (aka our LowYat Plaza), other places won't carry them.
*
Oh thanks. Tbf the original cover is the few covers that protect the Nexus 7 in every area possible. But the light grey one is abit prone to dirt. Saw the red one in Ebay but cannot get it here.

Anybody can advice how to remove screen protector as want to test screen vibrant colours? Thanks
*
Get an adhesive tape and paste it on the edge of screen protector then pull it upward. Use those strong type. If still cannot get a cutter and carefully prick the edge.
