Its not a software issue. Most probably won't. But its safer to do a backup first.

The screen is only better in terms of the resolutions. Which means you get crisp text for reading and see less 'block' as compared to ipad 2. But the screen colour being washed out is a known issues accepted by all Nexus 7 users. laugh.gif

No point searching. I've searched Melaka upside down without a trace of a cover. I found those RM70 2 pieces screen protector though.

I found those in one of those shops like senQ one. At Mahkota Parade. Quality im not sure but its too expensive for me.

Finally bought the original cover for Nexus 7.Thoughts?

-Its extremely heavy. But it feels premium.
-The cover looks like it can get dirty anytime soon.
-The flip cover, can be a nuisance as this thing constantly flip back to close. Unless if you completely fold it backward.
-Fits perfectly. No need to worry about scratches when taking out N7 from the cover.
-Covers all area and give full protection. Unlike most cases out there which leaves top and bottom uncovered.
-cut outs are perfect for 2 microphones, speakers, charging port and the headphone jack.
-The magnetic sensor is obviously weaker on the N7 than the ipad. Still yet to found a strong enough magnetic strip to trigger the smart cover capability.

All in all a very nice cover. At least to those who takes extreme care of their Nexus 7.

Hi, welcome here.

-Actually what N7 have is the same as ipad. Its either you buy a Nexus 7 32GB set or a Nexus 7 32GB Cellular (wifi+3G) Getting the 3G version doesn't mean you will not have wifi.
- For 32GB variant. You will see two models, one is 32GB wifi, another one is 32GB cellular (which means wifi+3G)
-Until now we still can't make call. Regarding sms im not sure. But yes few fellow users here claimed the N7 is able to send sms.
-Ya no external SD. But you can connect to external thumbdrive.
-Nexus 7 can read USB drive (but need to install 3rd party apps) If you need to edit files on your thumbdrive, root access is required.
-Yes it should be able to connecet to keyboard and mouse. But never uses one.

haha. The fact that Newegg do exist now is a simple fact. Hence i don't see why we need to have the assumption of 'if newegg didn't exist' right?

It is the same like, if we assume playstore is available in M'sia, then this price will be very expensive. laugh.gif

P/S: Your point is valid if newegg price is something like a promotional offer. Which used to be there but not available anymore. Im just trying to let him know there are still better offer out there if he decided to buy N7.

Only serious buyer will go through the hassle of having the fill up the form. Hence they don't have to avoid those people who flooded their facebook page asking for quatation just to know the price.

Btw, surprisingly my diamond screen protector arrives much sooner and schedule. The screen looks nicer on this. brows.gif

Ya not just dull. It reduces the sharpness of the screen significantly (for me). I missed that kind of sharpness when i first saw the screen naked, and now its back. rclxms.gif

In fact normal matte screen protector will also gather fingerprintss. the diamond bling bling effect can only be seen clearly when the screen is off.

the cover available are average at best. the very best one is portenzo one. but its too expensive. Been searching around ebay and amazon daily for one month still cant find a nice one. even tried taobao,no luck.

i cant accept this kind of cover because it did not give protection for top and bottom. there are lots of cover out there including the nilkn one, all,having the same problem. thats why im buying the original cover despite its lack of smart cover function.
