 Compaq notebook, is this worth it?

Rm2,999 (free pendrive 512mb)

Is this worth it? or can i get a better laptop with a price range around 2.5-3.5k?

the spec very nice, but the weight is 3Kg. too heavy to me

3kg is actually ok.
Usually 15inch Laptops are all 3kg or so.

if u dont mind the lower battery prob... i.e 1-2 hrs...then should be okay

For me...first impression, I like the price, a very attractive price. I don't quite like the flimsy hinges and the housing doesn't feel that solid especially near the area where the speakers are.

tried a turion b4 with wifi enabled got me about 1hr plus only b4 the low batt indicator comes up

was running a 'test drive' coz planning 2 get a new laptop...

i see.
But i heard from a friend who is doing IT.
He said that compaq's laptop casing aint good,as theres electricity leakage,not sure how far its true.
But HP seems better.

yup it's a good buy, but it heat up very fast, u can feel it when u touch the touchpad..

the battery life should be 2++ hours provided u switch ur screen brightness to the lowest, and doesnt put ur speaker to the loudest..

if u doesnt always carry the lappy around, this is a good buy though.. better stay for the coming pc fair, it's held at mid of april

yeap,its actually a pretty good buy as its only 2999.It dropped so much,and comes with 512mb pendrive,this is very worth it.
