The Q&A thread was closed, so I ask here:

I see my motherboard has two ATX power cables. One is 24pin, another is 8 pin.

Does that mean my motherboard requires me to plug 8pin also?
Mobo requires that much voltage ah...

Yeah, the normal configuration is 4 pins or 8 pins for high end mobo which expected to be overclocked heavily.

In short, whether you should plug in 4 pins or 8 pins depend on the CPU configuration. Power guzzle and heavy overclocked probably need the 8 pins.

I found the 8 pin coming from my psu.
I thought i would have to go buy one.
