Currently facing a weird problem with my crossfire setup on my old rig, at times my system will automatically disconnect my crossfire without my knowledge (it happen several times now).

Checked everything including the crossfire-bridge, performance (power consumption) and ran a few test. So far nothing indicates a issue with both cards (7970's).

So I was wondering, would it be a PSU issue? btw Mine was a AX860 by corsair.

At times it would also have issues with peripheral, sometimes when I'm using it, it will auto disconnect my peripheral and reconnect it back, it's kinda annoying especially when you are working or playing games.

edit: Also, the thing is that I kinda don't wanna take the PSU out for diagnostics unless I'm well certain of the main cause of issue is the PSU, because my old rig have a tight setup of Acrylic pipes and sets of radiator and pumps. It would be a pain the in arse to take the whole thing out and re-assemble it back. sweat.gif

not PSU issue.

have you tried other CFX cable?

Yea i did that too.

-I have also tried uninstall and re-install the latest AMD Catalyst drivers.
-Made sure that all the GPU is firm in place.

Performance from gpu tweak indicates no spike on power consumption during load (and heavy load), power consumption on both cards are on default mode (not clocked).

The main issue is that this is a random occurrence thing. There is no pattern for it to disconnect my crossfire setup or the peripheral. It just happen sometimes out of the blue sweat.gif

What intrigues me is that even my peripheral are affected by it. Sometimes my mice or keyboard just automatically disconnected and re-connected within seconds, it is very frustrating when I'm playing games or working.
