Does anyone own v1020 here? I am very interested in the model.  Still doing laptop hunting and thought I had to resort to Acer for my budget, but very happy to see Fujitsu having budget models too smile.gif

I recently bought a V1020 it's a good deal! with almost the same price and similar spec with compaq /dell you can get a piece of mind with this babe made in Japan smile.gif
Initially i thought of getting dell or compaq or hp... but i see they are abundance in lowyat like it's lost its value.. so i turn to Fujitsu and got a surprisingly good price for it.
No regret thumbup.gif

p/s: please don't buy acer.. u will regret big time

Added on September 29, 2008, 9:29 pmAlmost forgot, V1020 will definitely be your budget lappy... now they have promotion it's around RM2900

woah... this V1020 is cheap ( RM2900 )... n better spec than my S7111 ( RM3999 )... haiz..
wat's it's weight?? sum more it's 15.4" .... 160HD sum more... T5750...  i think most Fujitsu Lappies comes with Vista Home Basic...

yeah monique,

just too bad it doesn't have internal cam however the sales manager give us some freebies like cam (normal ones) and cooling pad too. It's pretty awesome. Btw i wanna correct something, the batt is 2000mAh, 4000mAh is just optional.

Hey Kev, thanks for the recommendation previosly, i been thinking of downgrading to xp.. but i thought about this comes with original vista basic.. kinda reluctant since i worry that smthg mite happen to my lappie.. i know it sounds funny laugh.gif blush.gif

almost forgot liao, to me (a gal) i think this lappie is a bit heavy, i think around 2.5-2.8kg. I forgot how heavy it was when i first bought it tongue.gif but to me it is the spec and quality tht matters the most. thumbup.gif

Im currently using V1020 too but different spec with yours. Normal usage should be ok de. with RM2000 can get Fujitsu is already a good deal. I agree with u its a bit heavy. If u r carrying it around then perhaps u might wanna find other model of Fujitsu like the S series suggested.

But then again DOS.. hmm u have your own CDs huh?

yea saw from star newspaper today for the advertise of L1010. it's really nice with colour plus with fingerprint sensor. but they did not stated its made in which country, even in their website also didn't state that, so i guess its made in china then. hmm.gif

Anyway V1020 is still a good choice thumbup.gif

I have something to say about Fujitsu V1020 that i bought... It's sad that its just a month more i owned it, the back light died one day when i was watching online movie. It's totally blacked out however can still see the screen (only if u go very near to the screen to see,but its too dark without the back light).

To tell the truth I am seriously in shocked and all the while how ppl claimed it's made in Japan and how great it is. IMO, it's all the same, it depends on your luck because my friend who bought the same unit together with me don't have this problem... now it has been sent to service center for two weeks and no news for them, and the dealer even said i have to bare the cost of the labor, with which, after i check with Fujitsu themselves, it said that i shouldn't be paying anything if its under warranty. cry.gif vmad.gif mad.gif

I got my lappie back oredi rclxm9.gif everything seems ok. Apparently it was the because the cable inside was loose therefore the back light went off.. anyway i see no difference before and after it was sent to service center thumbup.gif but then again keeping my finger crossed smile.gif

i just noticed there are a lot of indians (from India or pakistani) selling laptops like anything in lowyat laugh.gif but they don't sell Fujitsu

btw, the cursor don't suddenly moved somewhere, it happens when u accidentally press "home" smile.gif

mine V1020 100% made in Japan, only RM2899 (details of spec please refer back to previous post)... then again, it doesn't guarantee 0 defect, although i feel its still very solid smile.gif and at its tip top after back from hospital laugh.gif blush.gif
