Im currently using V1020 too but different spec with yours. Normal usage should be ok de. with RM2000 can get Fujitsu is already a good deal. I agree with u its a bit heavy. If u r carrying it around then perhaps u might wanna find other model of Fujitsu like the S series suggested.

But then again DOS.. hmm u have your own CDs huh?

Ic...yaya...i agree wif u tat 2k to get a Fujitsu Lifebook which made in Japan is a good deal adry...so i m just thinking of the weight...V1010 looks nice oso...Dos...yaya...i hav original XP and Vista since i m a University student...that`s our benefit to get them free....thx for ur advice..

hrmm...icegal can u help me sth....how u feel abt the keyboard of V1020...my frens said it looks fake in compared wif S7211 he bought....very plastic...how u think abt it ??
The keyboard looks plastic but i m sure the hardware n manufacturing is built-in confidence with quality 1...made in Japan...

welcome to the family badutman~~~~~~~

to Frederickk... as far as i know... the S7211 specs are almost the same with ur V1020... i dunno about V1010... since no one put up that lappie spec...

the differences between S7211 & V1020
is
1. weight
2. price
3. HDD space ( S7211 120GB & V1020 160GB )

that's all... happy.gif it's up to u to choose which one... happy.gif

Ic....The Specs different btw V1010 n V1020 is :

V1010................... V1020

1.Intel® Pentium® dual-core processor T2130(-Intel® 945GM Express Chipset)..........1.Intel® Pentium® dual-core processor T2390(- Intel® GM965 Express Chipset)

2.Integrated Intel ® Graphics Media Accelerator 950.................... 2.Integrated Intel ®Graphics Media Accelerator X3100

3.No Bluetooth.................... 3.Bluetooth® v2.0 + EDR

4.ExpressCardTM /34 /54 support.................... 4.SD Card Slot, ExpressCardTM /34 /54 support

My fren who recommended Fujitsu Lifebook to me is using S7211 right now...i feel it is quite nice....how u all think abt L1010....the lastest 1 wif ddr3 which cost 3k...i might wait for the price drops...or work part time to rise my budget...

well Frederickk... looking at the both specs...

i can conclude that u might as well get V1020 if u r thinking of getting V1010...

u can get keyboard protector & screen protector from lowyat plaza / lowyat forum here

L1010?? wats the specs and screen size??

well i did saw S7211 ( at that time i was buying laptop... so was wondering between S7211 & S7111 both are the same price at that time RM3999 ) well... i end up buying S7111 coz the salesman told me that S7211 built wasn't as solid as S7111 and blah blah... so in the end i buy S7111 ( using it like 10 months already... quite happy with its performance - it's lighter than S7211 as mine is 2.2kg with battery weight counted )

in the end... it's up to u to get which laptop. since it's ur $$ and ur choice whether u wanna gather $$ to get better laptop specs... but bear in mind... in the future... the laptop that u are saving for might not be for sale... as technology changes so laptop are very fast absolute... like my laptop S7111 i buy last year dec.. then jan i saw that most Fujitsu Retail Shop don't sell this laptop anymore.
