QUOTE(Human10 @ Feb 23 2013, 11:52 PM) I installed "TouchTest" and I noticed that something is not right compared to my old HTC Mozart. Have you tried giving your phone to others to take pictures with it? Did you check the settings? At first I thought it is program incompatibility or some software problem. But after pay a visit to here, then only I know that there are a lot other users also faced same problem... BTW, is the autofocus locking functioning "normally"? Cause I noticed that my unit always failed to lock focus (I tried on macro) accurately. |

QUOTE(billygoh @ Mar 11 2013, 02:14 PM) Shit, my white cover slowly turning to yellow alrd.. Actually, the good thing about white covers is that it doesn't heat up as fast as the black ones... You know how this phone gets really hot sometimesis there any way to clean it? and is the black cover available for sell in Nokia shop alrd? |

QUOTE(weim76 @ Mar 12 2013, 05:16 PM) How often do you expose your hp to sunlight? If not often, colours do not matter in this case. Dull black is a bad reflector of light. wat tahi not valid? That is why it absorbs and as opposed to reflecting it like what white would do. The fact that I included light was to make him understand why black works that way.Heat moves from one place to another in 3 ways: conduction, convection, radiation. The heat issue that affect our Lumias are generated from the motherboard and reach the casing/cover through mostly conduction. Colour has no effect on conduction or convection. They only affect heat transfer through radiation (eg, sunlight). Among all colours, black retains most heat from sunlight while white reflects most heat from sunlight. So unless you use your phone mostly in the sun, your point is not valid. Time to dig up the Physics book... Oh geez, stop nitpicking to increase your e-penor la. |

QUOTE(weim76 @ Mar 12 2013, 05:36 PM) Ok, ok, your statement is actually valid in itself. But, in the context of heat retention when using the Lumia, it makes no difference whether you use black or white colours. QUOTE(ktek @ Mar 12 2013, 05:38 PM) u need to determine clearly. oh, solar heat.... riiight. ok, I stand corrected.the heat source is not by photo energy, but conduction by heat inside of phone. so it make no sense that black reflect light or not becos no light is involved here |

^ same like this guy. my battery can still last for 1 day ++ with 2g and wifi + normal to semi-heavy usage. One thing I'd like to point out is I only have 2 background tasks running. I remember running Fuse as background task and it drained my batt like water.

QUOTE(Assassin's @ Apr 30 2014, 09:55 PM) The official WP 8.1 is not officially out yet (expect June). However you can get early access to WP 8.1 using the Developer Preview Program So do you recommend that I try out the developer preview one? there should be no problem updating to the official 8.1 later even when we installed the developer preview right? If you want stability, wait for the official update. If you can't wait to try out the new features in WP 8.1, go ahead and download the WP 8.1 Developer Preview STEPS TO GET WP 8.1 DEVELOPER PREVIEW : - Register as developer - Install Preview for Developer app on your phone - Run the app and sign in to your account - Check update (NOTE : There is a small update before the WP8.1 update, so make sure to check twice) |
