I'd like to read more personal reviews from those who bought the nokia 620 recently. Appreciate it if you could share your user experience.
Thinking to get a smartphone for my mom. She has been using Nokia Symbian all the time. So she is quite pro Nokia but have not use the Windows platform. Basically, she is new to the smartphone experience.
Some requirements I can think of would be:
- large enough screen with big fonts
- easy enough to use the UI/platform
- her usage is mostly SMS and future use of surfing the net
- not too expensive in case she forgets the hp and left/lost it somewhere (one reason why she is reluctant to get i5). But budget not an issue for me.
Right now, I'm considering at all options. I think the most important factor would be how easy for her to use the smartphone.
Thanks.
Well. My review on this phone ,
Smooth , so far didn't lag at all ( don't know what apps to test ) , surf lowyat forum pretty smooth , fast browsing speed.
The phone is nice to hold .
Before this I've quite poor battery life, now I just fully charged my phone again and switch highest connection speed to 2G , means only use GSM instead of dual band, will report my battery life again. Unplug from charger less than 1 hour , wifi on , now still maintain 100% battery life.
This phone is easy to use , as long as you set your tiles nicely, the apps that you always wanted to use.
Other than that, you can also group up contact and pin it on home screen . For an example, make a group called Family , then add up all the family member inside ..
5mp camera without carl zeiss , decent , don't expect too much . You can snap photo by press the 2 stage camera button or with a single touch on screen , it will focus and snap .
Don't have AMOLED , but readability under the sun is very good *thumbs up*
I was using auto screen brightness .
No problem at all.
I did compare side by side with Lumia 920 .
Open Nokia maps ,Nokia drive , Lumia 920 is faster , but if I would say, it worth to buy 620 if you don't demand for very very high performance . No doubt it's slower a bit , by few seconds , not too long .
