NTU engineering is known for their tough workload. IN fact, companies in Singapore prefer NTU grad as they are better in practical aspects. With compulsory Industrial Attachment, most grad were offered jobs even b4 they had graduated.

From the graduate survey of batch 2005, NTU grad command an avg of $2.6K compared to NUS grad which is $2.5K

In NTU, the workload is heavy and tedious that u can always hear students from NTU failing exam but seldom from NUS.

Is there really always people failling in NTU engineering? You're scaring me..

I'm studying my first year first sem at UTAR, 3E course. Anyway, the test usually average students could score is an A, 80% and above... (Final test I don't know, my first sem final is in progress now..)

I got accepted by NTU, same course I applied here, 3E. But NUS rejected me though.
I heard that if we failed, or did badly there, we won't be given a place in the hostel.. They'll kick us out.

Is it very very hard over NTU compare here?

If you want a easier entry to Singapore uni, try apply to Singapore Polytechnic and you will do your A-level there for ard 2 years. After that you will get into Singapore Uni more easily and you can skip the first year in Uni. All the best!

If you get rejected by both NTU or NUS, you could try and apply for their polytechic, when you finish at singapore poly, you might be able to try and apply for NTU/NUS again.

Anyway, even if you failed to enter their UNI, apply any poly and get their offer letter.
With that offer letter, you get to make a passport at half price ..

I'm a biology student and i got E&E for NTU. Is it really that hard since i didn't take physics during STPM. I think im consider lucky although my result is not that good.

Why did you go for E&E since you are a biology student?

You got accepted this year only? or long time ago?

Which hostel are you referring to? Is it NTU?

Not bad for 2 years, my sister is staying in NUS, they only secure your accomodation for the first year, the following year is based on your performance.
