My teacher says not recommended. Using pencil might cause your work to wear off, who knows what will happen during the process.SPM 2013 Thread

Hello, I believe many of you are using the SUCCESS book for Biology right? I have a question here.
On page 185(I'm not sure whether it holds true for the new edition or not), it's about the experiment on effect of light intensity on the rate of photosyntesis. I have a question on the procedure. For the fourth step, it says like this: A clean oblique cut is made with a sharp razor near the lower end of the Hydrilla sp. stem under water. (You may have to cut the end of the stem several times until gas bubbles emerge rapidly) What does it mean actually? This post has been edited by kangaroo96: Oct 11 2013, 06:24 PM |

QUOTE(mingisms @ Oct 14 2013, 02:54 PM) For Moral, how do you guys answer the "jelaskan" structure questions? I dug through this thread a bit but it seemed like there was no definite answer (or maybe I missed it.) I do like this:The way I do it is (nilai) + (watak) + (one kata kunci) + (short huraian). Example: nilai rasional. Ali perlulah berfikir dengan wajar dengan tidak menghisap rokok. Also, are there official kata kunci? The ones I'm using differ a bit from what some of you guys are using. What happens if I'm writing a definisi but instead of "serta" I write "dan"? (watak) perlu mengamalkan nilai (nilai). (Watak) perlu (kata kunci) dengan (short huraian/contoh). For what I know, you can't change anything in the definisi, must be exactly the same as stated in the textbook. If possible, do not change the sequence too, who knows maybe a fussy examiner will be marking you paper and he tries to penalise you as much as he can haha. |

QUOTE(flamemusic @ Oct 14 2013, 05:16 PM) Regarding the active or passive voice for paper 3, I've just attended a chemistry seminar and the teacher says that we should use active voice for the experiment. And then I just recalled what I had wrote for trial exam, I used passive voice and my teacher didn't deduct my marks at all. I wonder why ..... Because both are accepted, but active is more recommended. Since you are planning, giving guidelines and instructions for somebody to conduct the experiment. |

I found this site quite useful. Bombastic words, phrases and sentences can impress the examiner, try to memorise as much as you can.

According to my observation, the rusting experiment seems to be a hot topic for Chemistry Paper 3 this year. I saw many papers from states(Terengganu, Kedah, Penang, SBP) and some schools have the rusting part, either in question 1, 2 or 3.
Experiments can be studied right after we finish our Paper 2, one hour thirty minutes, you can finish everything if you're fast enough. Btw my school came out rusting too. This post has been edited by kangaroo96: Oct 15 2013, 09:03 PM |

QUOTE(maximR @ Oct 16 2013, 03:44 PM) So far , you're the only person who got it right . Mind sharing your reasoning ? I understand 2! because UÂ and E can both be arranged in 2 ways , but 6P5 ? Because the U and E are a single unit, plus there are 5 more letters out there to be arranged(U and E are taken), so 5+1=6. The 6 units is to be put into 5 places, so 6P5. And you multiply them.Something like this http://i.imgur.com/lHF6WZe.png If my reasoning is wrong someone please correct it This post has been edited by kangaroo96: Oct 16 2013, 06:09 PM |
