who want to make such a foolish announcement as all those so call having "defective" charger all soo "holy/generous/kind/humble" even with an exploded charger still take it easy, no photoshot, no nothing and just simply nagging at forum and fb...  whistling.gif  doh.gif

highly suspected it's due to the users own flaw that causing the explode, not dare to show the photo as this will force the Samsung to re-act and end up embarassing themself...  yawn.gif
*
Announcement NOT on exploding charger lar. Announcement on the hissing adapter. There are lot of users around the world saying the adapter hisses. Mine included when get to 90% charging.

anyone using titanium back? what is the different btw free and pro version?
*
Most of us frequent rom flashers uses TB. Pro version allows for doing batch backup and restore which is very important for us.

hehe... will u do some closeup recording of those hissing sound and post it up, let link it up to whole world to create pressure to Samsung?? as I say no evidence or sample, >99% users without hissing won't know how "serious" it is...

you need to make the 1% flaw significant by giving more sample, like the sample of hissing vs the sample of quiet charger side by side...  brows.gif
*
There are already some videos on youtube. brows.gif But it is not an issue for me. Dun really hear it unless my ear totally next to the adapter

Some users are worried (people get worried/scare of abnormal and unknown things. normal human reaction. rolleyes.gif ). Hence why this discussion is ongoing for so long.... but frankly talking about it here is doing nothing to help but just create more fear. tongue.gif

ya i need to do a full backup before i have my business trip. very important data.

thanks for telling me antt00. i will go aheadh and purchased the pro version then. thanks
*
What data? TB does not backup "physical" data like your office documents, photos, songs, etc. These youhave to manually backup to sd card ,pc, cloud, etc.

It only backups apps, settings, sms, contacts etc.

Guys is there anyway we can edit our phone t9 dictionary? For example when i try to type "haha", "haga" also will come out. due to previously wrongly type. I realize the auto detect words is getting more and more typo day by day.
*
When 'haga' comes up, long press on it and remove from dictionary. Done.

Hi guys

I heard that our screen itself is good and strong enough to protect the screen. They already apply some nano stuff in it (Factory Default).

So by adding SP just to play safe (Insurance shield)

True?
*
Depends on the definition of protect.

Smart Phone must be smart. tongue.gif sacrifice the sensor. If you use Samsung motion like quick glance sensor will be on also.

Redpill is buggy...  sweat.gif
I'm benchmarking omega 7.3 default kernel performance now (batt life), will load in the Perseus 27.4 tomorrow and redo the benchmark to give approx. batt consumption different of both...  yawn.gif
*
The only two bug I encounter with Rep pill
1) Android os shows high count on battery usage but this is just a display bug so totally not important
2) external sd is at sdcard 1 and symlink to extsdcard. Not really a bug cos it's intentional. This causes problem for people that do memory swap.

Being enclosed in a reinforced concrete bird cage with 20+ HDBs surrounding you, tell me, how to get good WCDMA coverage? My battery drains 50% per night if I left 3G on

Should I go for Perseus a27.4?
What's the added advantage compared to stock kernel?
*
Voodoo sound and alot of things to play with.

Wrong.

To prevent misinformation, it may be clarified that
1) battery life is reduced by heat.
2) charging wt 1A is slower and ur phone is in heat longer.
3) batt life is reduced.
*
Faster charging create more heat. Charging with 2a will create more heat than 1a.

weird... blush.gif  blink.gif  sad.gif  mad.gif

Some battery saving app will turn off Data. Do you use any of those?

After flashing Perseus a27.5, battery life improved immensely.

Undervolted and underclocked everything slightly.

Uv of cpu, gpu or screen is kinda useless if your goal is to save battery. It's just minutes. More times it causes issues than savings energy if not properly done.

The big savings are disable auto brightness and use lowest possible brightness u can tahan, turn off data when not required, underclock.

Or just buy a spare battery or power pack lar.

For me, it's underclock + undervolt + lowest brightness...

Expected to last 6~7 hours screen time on 3G
*
If u remove the uv i m sure you will still get the same screen time. Its the uc n screen brightness that is saving batt.
