After reading through much of this thread and googling around, I'm truly interested in getting myself one of these babies. I've opted for the RE-13 Pro. Let me explain abit about my intended use of this lil monster.

This laptop shall serve as my desktop replacement. Eventhough, the screen is small, I'll actually be using this mostly with a 24" LED LCD, wireless mouse/keyboard combo, and wireless speakers. The size/weight will make a difference when I travel, and I do move around quite abit.

I do mostly word processing type of work esp. with Excel. And my Excel files are usually very large with numerous functions/macros in use. Also, the usual surfing, email, etc.

I will also be watching HD videos and be doing some casual gaming (DOTA 2, Diablo 3, Metro, Flash games, etc.)

With that in mind, I've opted for the below specs

i7-4700MQ
GTX 765M
- IC Thermal Compound
8GB DDR3L
500GB 5400rpm WD HDD
120GB Crucial M500
Intel Dualband Wireless-AC
Win 8

I have some questions in regards to this machine, and hope someone could help me.

- What is the brand of the LCD screen?
- What is the finish of the internal side of the laptop (the sides of the keyboard) and what is the colour? (From the photo is looks grey)
- What are the dimensions of the machine? This is to allow me to visualize the size of laptop
- Any shop where I can "touch and feel" this laptop?
- Your website has some inconsistency when explaining 1-to-1 exchange. Is it 7 days or 14 days?
- As the other specs that I need information for was not listed on your website, I assume that this machine is a clevo-w230st. Therefore, the ports stated for that machine will also be the same as this machine. Am I correct?
- With the setup above, what will be the battery life at idle and also when doing light work (web surfing and stuff)? Again, I'm assuming this is a 6 cell battery.
- For the custom colour, do I just give you the colour I want from a particular make/model of a car? This relates to my second question, because I'm not sure how the colour will turn out on diffferent materials. I'm interested in full body painting.
- Is it possible to remove the illegear branding?

Finally, hope to hear from the forum anyone who has purchased this and what their experience was.

Thanks a bunch!

You mean i7-4700MQ? 4200is i5. You can save some money by sticking with the i5. and get lower temps
You wont get any improvement in terms of real world feeling from the i7.
Correct me, if im wrong.

Oh yes, I meant i7-4700MQ. smile.gif

Well, i7-4700MQ does have 4 cores. Was actually contemplating the i7-4702MQ for the lower wattage. But decided against it.

You're not encoding or doing anything intensive to use the 4 cores. Not sure if functions/macro in excel will benefit from the extra cores too.
With the RM200 saved, you can get more ram, a ssd, external DAC or a nice laptop sleeve. smile.gif  That's my thinking la.

Thanks for the tip. Will keep it in mind. biggrin.gif

Hi Prince J,

Thanks for the clarifications.

I'm residing in KL, so somewhere within vicinity will be good.

As for the full body paint, am looking at painting in grey (BMW grey). That was the reason why I asked about the finishing. And yes, I meant the chasis. Understand that it is made of plastic, but the finishing might alter the colour. Eg white colour usually can tell a big difference between metal and plastic body (on cars anyways).

Btw, what is the power input for the adapter? Just wanna make sure that I can charge it in any country I go to (although most modern adapters don't have this problem, just want to confirm this).

Also, with the latest CNY promo, do I have to select those options to take advantage of it? Eg selecting Colour calibration

Have you tried the Power Options under Control Panel. There's an option there which says "Choose what closing the lid does". Btw, its for Win Vista and up.
