I am thinking of getting an Asus G75 or RS-17 from Illegear. I have a few questions though.
1. For either computer, I will need to get an OS, either Win7 or Win8. Is the OS supplied OEM or retail (Can I transfer the license to another computer if the laptop died on me & I needed to buy a new one)? I understand that OEM license cannot be transferred to a new laptop.
2. I saw some Clevo/Sager reviews on a similar laptop to the RE-17 & they were talking about keyboard lag. In the event I face this problem, would this be covered by the warranty? I'm planning to use this laptop for work & gaming.
3. Both laptops are heavy, but can they stand up to being moved around on a daily basis? How durable are they? & no, I won't be using it as a basketball but I don't want a laptop that doesn't travel well. Weight isn't a problem.
4. The RE-17 looks really nice but the NVidia GC is a little pricey. Could I down grade to an cheaper NVidia GC & later upgrade?

This is a similar model from Sager (NP9170). I'm not sure if this is the RS-17 equivalent.

Please note that the review is not for an illegear notebook but a similar one from a different vendor which is using a Clevo barebone build.

Prince, what is the Clevo equivalent for the RE-17 & RS-17? I'd like to look them up at notebookcheck if possible.

I have the same thing on my HP laptop. The scratches were caused by the watch I was wearing on my left hand. Not sure if this is the cause in your case.

Could the noise be coming from the exhaust fan? According to Notebookcheck, the fan can go up to 25dB(A) at idle & up 48.9dB(A) at load.

Does the power cable have a ferrite bead clipped on to the input cable?

Any RE-15 owners who didn't have problems with their laptops? I hoping that the number of problem RE-15s is low as I am thinking of getting one.

It's probably because your speaker cables are the ideal lenght for an antenna matching that frequency. You could try shortening the cables. . Or clamping a ferrite bead on it.

Thanks, the bag does look roomy. How thick is the padding? looks very nice & thick. .

One questions regarding the speaker problem, I believe that Recorder also has a similar problem on his RE-15. How is the status of his lappy? If the problem is caused by the speaker, would it be possible to swap out the speakers?
Or would plugging in headphones disable the speakers & get rid of hum?
