Having a laptop with touchscreen is a bonus. Do the touchpad support multi-touch gesture? Does this laptop support optimus technology?

I like the design pattern of RK-17, but for portability issue I might choose RK-15 instead, if there was no others that suit my needs.
*
Hi there,

RK-15 has multitouch gesture and Nvidia optimus features.

Hope clarify.

QUOTE(GrumpyCat @ Jul 23 2014, 12:19 PM)
Hello,
I've been eyeing on ILLEGEAR RE-15 EVO series for quite a while now. However I need some assistance with the Primary Drive, Secondary Drive and Primary mSATA Solid State Drive.

I'm planning to go on SSD since some online reading gives it more pros than cons. Do I need a secondary drive?
As for the Primary mSATA Solid State Drive do I need it?

I wouldn't say I'm a full hardcore gamer but regular laptops have been failing me over the years (i.e. overheating, slow start ups after a certain period etc)
So I'm looking for something which can last a little longer.

Advice please ? smile.gif

Hi GrumpyCat,

The storage options depend on your budget.

For budget tight users they normally opt for 120/128GB SSD + 1TB HDD.

Do you have replacement for laptop rubber bumper?  (the one on the monitor bezel).  I would like to get one, because mine fell off few days ago.

Laptop model : RE15

Hi,

There are two types of the rubber feet, which one do you need? Please place your order with sales@illegear.com

The ILLEGEAR RS-17 EVO is built with a more "flashy" approach, as you can tell by the various lights around the speaker bar, keyboard and mouse pad, etc.

Hi, i wanna ask. If i choose the RE-15 with the promo upgrade. Then i decided to add my own HDD later, do the motherboard comes with 2ndary SATA for HDD?

If i were to dissemble the laptop, are RAM, HDD, optical drive, WLAN card, Exhaust fan easy to access? Easy access as it i just need to take off the back cover of the laptop only. Thanks.
*
Hey myself,

The RE-15 EVO has two SATA bays and one mSATA SSD bay, total 3 storage in one chasis.

Those parts you mentioned are easily accessed to, two ram slots, optical drive, heatsink and fan are located at the bottom part of the laptop, one ram slot and WLAN card are located underneath the keyboard.

We will provide a complete manual with pictures for your reference.

I just get my RS15 yesterday. The build quality is just simply awesome. I would say the best machine build i ever had from all the brand. Its super solid.

Beside the service from Prince, Marc is superb. Very well service. They can answer almost all the question that you ask.

The studio at Damansara? Is very cool with all the model display and cozy environment. Super nice place. You must pay a visit whenever available.

You will not regret with ILLEGEAR when performance matters.  thumbup.gif

i have been eyeing for illegear for a while now, but there is something i cant get out from my mind.
Here's my question to Illegear:
1) last time you are the retailer for Sager, and i cant find any Sager laptop in the store, and some of the illegear looks pretty much the same like Sager, eg: the wing on the mouse pad and some on the hardware like speaker, is Sager=illegear?

2)rs-17 evo is it the same as clevo p177sm/sager np8298? if so, why does the sager cost cheaper than the rs-17 evo, what are the differences? it wound be nice if you explain all of it. (source: exotic pc)

that is all my question for now  hmm.gif

We are both built on the same Clevo chasis.

MSI, Alienware, Acer, ASUS are all priced differently than Malaysia market, not only us.

By the way, have you factored in the int' shipping cost to Malaysia and contingent warranty cost? As far as I know Clevo machines from U.S. are not warranted here in Malaysia.

Please checkout our RS series: http://store.illegear.com/32-rs-series

May  i know 2nd value of illegear laptop compared to alienware? The price after configuration is negotiable? All gpu for hi-end machines upgradable?

Hi norazwan,

Have you contacted our sales person sales@illegear.com ?

All RS and RX models have MXM 3.0 module are upgradable (theoretically), it also depends on the compatibility of future GPU to motherboard.
