Guys planning to replace my HDD with SSD on P151EM.

Any great brands to recommend ?

I meant the CPU temperature. GPU is fine. I can ramp the temperature to 100C again but isn't that the maximum temperature before the processor fails? I do not want to risk the processor failing whilst having no resources for repairs now. Currently I have disabled turbo boost to keep temperatures in the high 80s range (max frequency 2.4GHz).

Between Gigabyte P35W V2 and one of Illegear's custom laptops (I'm assuming these laptops are of that sort), which one is better?

ILLEGEAR RK-15 dual or single fan.
If dual fan with this price, that very nice.

I have gotten the RE-15 from them around January this year and everything was going fine. Around April if I remembered correctly, the fan had some grinding noise and it happens occasionally so I had it checked. Serviced it and everything was fine. After sometime the grinding happened again. I knew there was a problem with the fan, so I emailed them and ask. Support services claim it was normal. So, I told myself it is fine since they insisted that my fan is in good condition. After a month or so around May, it started vibrating and making a huge lot of noise. Now I'm 100% sure its not normal. Emailed them with a video attached and the still claimed that it's normal. I insisted that they check it out themselves so I had a meet up with them @ Starbucks . Marc came and check over it and said there was nothing wrong. But let me ask you guys a question, if there was something not righy about your laptop, you would definitely know right? I insisted that he take it back to their centre to check and he said he would charge Me if there weren't any problems. So I agreed. They took it back and changed it without any questions . I was satisfied with their services so no complaints .

Once ive gotten it back, decided to run it and just do some gaming . After that the graphic card decided to update. Let it run and boom, an error occurred. Blue screen from Microsoft and laptop kept shutting down and turning on after a second. Emailed them and they picked up the laptop for servicing. Processor was the problem , so they've changed it. They also stress tested it.

I was finally able to collect the laptop today so decided to test it again with dota 2. Played an hour, had some issues with 100% disk( since a while ago but programs installed are all for work n steam games ) but was satisfied. Just recently, I opened up dota 2 to just watch a game and the same thing occurred again. Now I'm really really frustrated cos all my work is inside and I have not been able to use my laptop for nearly 3weeks +. Is 1-1 exchange available for such cases? I really expected more from illegear since it's custom built laptops but my experience with their laptops has been very depressing and frustrating... 

I have used the original Nvidia software provided by the laptop to update the driver. Yes I do know that but the same problem occurring in the same program is just really annoying. I do not think this is a coincidence. I really feel that there is something faulty with the laptop .

I am not able to send details of the programs running as the laptop would not start. Same thing occurring like the previous problem due to the processor. My files are all on desktop containing my assignments and notes. I really really hoPE that there wouldn't be any problems occurring anymore. Problems started during arnd April ( start to notice) and from May till today I am not able to use my laptop especially when I need it for work. I have gotten the laptop in Jan and barely even half a year, (Jan to May) I'm alrready having problems with it. I'm sure running a program like Dota 2 wouldn't be stressing the processor as much when you ran the stress test.

i know if hdd click it would be catastrophic, are there any fixes for this?

Damn if you guys do some barebones customization that would be really great!

Can buy some of the parts myself for hackintosh.

Prince J,  I have finally pinpoint my overheating issue to my CPU what measure should I take to rectify the problem?

So far I have cleaned the fan and make sure the heatsink screw is properly fasten

Ordered the RX-17 EVO with the NTSC 90% glossy screen and they sent it with the 120Hz matte screen instead. 

Ordered it in mid-June, picked it up this week (processor was out of stock), and now gotta wait till mid-July if want to replace it with the glossy screen. 

how do u check if the screen is 90%?
I ordered the re-15 with 90%, but i dont know how to check if i got the correct one.

What temps do u guys get for RE-15 when priming?
Within 10 secs i get 92 degrees. Thats pretty high.

With the laptop plugged into just the power supply (i.e. battery taken out), the power adapter makes a whiny sound. Is this normal?

I've been looking to buy laptop that have similar specs as Asus N550JK but with touchscreen, but I found none. Instead I found Illegear RK-series and it piqued my interest. Will I ever see your products with touchscreen in near future? Is it possible for RK series to have touchscreen?

erm . i think i need some opinion.

i purchase ILLEGEAR RS-15 Lite last year and was very satisfied with the machine.  Recently .. while . playing 3D games. especially my favourite League of Legends, the fan kicks off VERY fast especially like after 10 mins only of gaming. Previously it would never have the loud sound of the fan at the back.

What might be the cause of this?
