Dear Ben,

RMA for problems requested by your reseller:

1. Static noise from speakers.
2. Buzzling sound from the fan.
3. Unable to install soundblaster cinema.
4. No sound if uninstalling Audio driver.

Per our diganosis:

1. No static noise after we do a clean re-installation of Audio driver from the DVD.
2. The fan sound is normal, there is no buzzling noise.
3. Soundblaster Cinema was installed without issue.
4. Your installed "Razer Surround" was the one playing the problem.

I already mention so many times that your team reluctant or ignorant enuf to ignore what i said. the static noise is there DAY 1. Razer surround i installed like maybe few days before i send it to u guys, when i cannot use the soundblaster cinema and i need the surround sound for my gaming need, temporary. THe static noise is  by the laptop lousy or low quality VIA audio chipset they used, so plz be clear. DAY 1 static noise, DAY 1 soundblaster cinema not working, i posted here before i believe.

Nevermind talk more no use, if the laptop is back without any abnormal noise, then i happy u happy. if it is back still same old shit, i will not stop and should not stop looking for illegear until the problem is solved.
*
Basically we have done all the problems checking in the RMA form filled up by your reseller. All the problems mentioned in the RMA form are not caused by the machine itself.

Whatever it is, i WANTED to have my tracking code tonight. Please do not divert from the fact that k have sent my laptop to u weeks ago and u found out nothing, but i still not receiving anything.
*
1. Our staff picked up the laptop from your address on 27th August 2013.
2. 28th August 2013, we have informed you that we didn't find any problem the next day we brought the laptop back to repair facility.
3. You asked us to check properly and do not rush to send it back because you would be in your hometown and you did not specify which date you want it back.
4. We have been testing your laptop and have at least re-installed the reported drivers more than 20 times, no problem is found eventually.
5. You suddenly dropped me a pm to ask me send back your laptop few days ago.
6. We have charged the reseller two-way shipping plus pickup cost from your address before sending out the goods because no problem was found.
7. Laptop was sent back today with tracking number given to our customer, you should liaise with your reseller to get the tracking.

I asked about it on sunday, if it is in ur hand and nothing can be found, it should be standing by for shipment and it could have been sent by monday. I asked about the status yet being ignored becos even my reseller could not provide me a date of shipment. Worst customer service ever with u tak suka u keluar kind of attitude. I am not the only one dissatisfied i believe. Totally will not recommend to anyone, customer service is worst than any laptop brand in msia kidn that kind of attitude as if you are the client. Good product? Maybe value for money if u dont mind the fan noise and the look, plus lack of refinement esp palm area the edge is very sharp. Total dissatisfaction from buy until after sales. My experience, might be one in a million but i have no reason to hide whether happened.
*
I believe there are misunderstanding here.

We already dropped you a message that we didn't find any problem from your laptop on 28th of August and you didn't reply to us immediately that you wanted the laptop to be sent on 9th of September which is this Monday.

Per our understanding with you was "check everything properly and I would be at my hometown for a long period". If you could ever mention that you need the laptop back on 9th of September then we could avoid the delay of document preparing.

Please be understanding that the delay was partly due to your last minute call.

Anyway, ILLEGEAR has done our best of job from pickup, delivery to long-hour checking.

Dear ben3003

Your laptop has been proven to be running fine after long period of testing and investigation by our engineers. We never heard any static noise came out from your laptop in our repair facility and we firm a video to show this clearly.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EslKsuUDZPA

If the problem still persists on your end, we suggest you to check your environment to see if there is any TV, radio, phone, power supply, razer headset and any other device that can interfere the laptop speakers.

Regarding your complaint about the "no sound from speaker if you uninstalled the Audio driver", we found that is due to your own Razer Surround driver installation, I have explained to you clearly in previous post.

Dear kelvinkhaw01

We would love to help and pay for both way shipping if the problem is caused by ILLEGEAR and manufacturing defects. However, we do charge for pickup and shipping fees if we pickup your laptop from penang but eventually found no problem at all.

Dear Recorder

We had a user solved his static noise problem by himself before and please pm me and I can give you his info.

Dear xtreme25711,

I hope you can understand that all laptop brands come with lemon, it's unavoidable and what can we do is to help our customers to solve as soon as possible.

By the way, we have just received your laptop and will probably post it back today or tomorrow.

Also, we won't use any refurbished part for your repairing because it's a relatively new unit, we will either use new parts for repairing or do one-to-one exchange for you.

Dear ben3003,

You mean the laptop in battery mode doesn't have static noise but when it's plugged in then there is static noise?

Any RE-15 owners who didn't have problems with their laptops? I hoping that the number of problem RE-15s is low as I am thinking of getting one.
*
Hi Dbassnut,

We have sold many RE-15 (Clevo W350STQ) since Ivy Bridge and there are two complaints about the speaker static so far. We are working closely to the reseller at the moment.

Regarding recorder static complaint, we are asking him to send in for checking, will update you guys about that.

Hi all,

Just wanted to clarify

1. RE series come with Nvidia stickers (Optimus and Geforce GTX).
2. RS series don't have any Nvidia stickers.
3. All models don't have Intel stickers.
4. ILLEGEAR do not provide stickers removal service due to some reasons, users can DIY themselves easily.

Hi Prince J,
Thanks, the bag does look roomy. How thick is the padding? looks very nice & thick. smile.gif.

One questions regarding the speaker problem, I believe that Recorder also has a similar problem on his RE-15. How is the status of his lappy?  If the problem is caused by the speaker, would it be possible to swap out the speakers?
Or would plugging in headphones disable the speakers & get rid of hum?

Thanks,
*
The padding is very soft and quite thick. Every aspect of the laptop is protected very well.

As mentioned I will definitely update recorder case when the report is available.

Recently I received an inquiry from a backpack buyer (Alienware user) and he is asking whether the "ILLEGEAR" logo is printed on pull-tab and will it be washed out easily.

Our pull-tab ILLEGEAR logo is deboss type and it won't be washed out, pic as below:

Notebookcheck mentioned 1.9kg, but I've read reports of 1.7kg at other places. Would be great if Prince J can clarify =D

1.9kg with battery and HDD.

QUOTE(Abk92 @ Oct 5 2013, 07:32 AM)
Wow if below than 2kg it super portable laptop and I think Iris Pro 5200 equal to GT 650M rite..that's will playable to play mid game range  drool.gif
*
Yes Iris Pro 5200 can play latest games at mid setting but it's more towards workstation/designing. our RE, RS and RX are more suitable for gaming.

QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ Oct 5 2013, 10:17 AM)
yes.

but i dont kinda like cutting edge designs. looks a bit awkward.
*
The design is very good in my opinion, will upload more photos.

QUOTE(daijoubu @ Oct 5 2013, 10:58 AM)
So far it will be the only laptop that fits the below criteria, somewhat:

Haswell
FHD res
IPS screen
dedicated graphics
<2kg
<25mm thick

Only exception is that its integrated graphics, but with performance reaching dedicated (GT740M). Most reviews mentioned it couldnt actually reach GT650 levels, but there was one that said with latest updates, it could surpass GT650. Waiting for more reviews =D.

Would like to see the battery life tho
*
We will test the battery life with normal surfing and idle modes soon.
