Hi everyone,

My friend requests me for opinion for his potential new car. For discussion and opinions gathering purpose, I would like to see how would other people select.

Below are my friend's criterias:

1) Budget below RM150k.
2) Doesnt mind second hand value
3) My friend is currently a single guy and plan to use the car for 5-7 years
4) Mostly city driving
5) Want to have ease of serving car (not difficult to find service centers and spare parts)
6) Doesnt prefer big CC but doesnt mind either

Which car would you suggest? Thanks in advance for all your opinions smile.gif

I would think he wants a car that has good fuel efficiency and looks good. Good suggestions and thanks for that smile.gif

On top of that, based on my friend's criterias about ease of servicing, I'm afraid T and H brand are closer match although i would like to suggest him a Volkswagen or Peugeot which IMO more fun to drive tongue.gif

Either crz or veloster. If suzuki brings in the zc32s swift sport, that's a not bad choice as well

Errr.... if second- hand I'm not so sure. Insurance might be expensive or hard to find for 5-7 years. I would suggest ;

If value for money is a must; Proton Inspira 2.0P - RM93k It's a Proton yes, but it's a Mitsubishi through and through. Can't go wrong with this one.

If sportiness is a must; Honda CR-Z - 111k-115k Extremely worth the price thanks to tax exemption on hybrid cars. I looks awkward at some angles, but it's a small price to pay.

If fuel consumption is a concern; Toyota Prius c - 97k The regular Prius is okay too but the Prius c has a tinge of sportiness to it.

I think the difference between Prius and Prius C is very big that warrants Consumer Report to list Prius as best car and Prius C as the top 10 worst cars.
