The argument about the 16GB data storage limitation is endless in this thread. I personally think we all know these limitations (which are very obvious) but I also think that each and every Nexus buyers buy a Nexus device simply for the software updates. IMO, top spec phone (hardware) but with shitty software support is not going to get my buying vote as I have enough experience dealing with these phones. I've bought my iPhone 3GS because of that and would like to try android for once with Nexus devices.

On the other hand, S3 is a fantastic phone, there is no denying on that fact. smile.gif

Ooo the price? and source?

I remember someone who used comgateway services before and the cost come up to about USD $37 for two units of Nexus 4 shipment. Since hopshopgo is also by comgateway, the cost should be more or less the same. hmm.gif

Wait I don't get them.. How do you purchase Nexus 4 via those website?
*
You register for an account with them and they'll give you a USA address (since Google Play only ships to US address). Then you use VPN or proxy (VPN Preferred) to buy via credit card and ship to the US address given. If you don't have credit card, you can ask comgateway to buy for you, but they charge you 10% of the total cost.

Once arrived at the US address, they'll send you an email. You then request for shipment to your house address. They charge by weight or volumetric weight. Check the cost here: http://www.comgateway.com/2012/red3.calculator.do?l=en&c=MY

Guys, I plan to order a nexus 4 from USA and use comgateway to deliver to Malaysia. Do you guys know around how long will it take to reach here?

Current rumors suggest that nexus 4 price in Malaysia will be 1799. Order from USA a 16gb version gonna be around 1200-1300 right?
*
It's better if you have bulk, like at least 2-3 units then can share shipping charges together. First initial charges charged by comgateway is quite expensive also.

Hi i saw your guide here:
is it just:

1. Register an address over there.
2. Then, Go US google play store purchase using credit card and send to the address i registered over there?
3. Then, when it arrived at that particular address. Then i will received an email? Then i only provide my Malaysia address and charge by weight?
4. Is that so easy? and approx how long for whole process.

If really 1799 in malaysia.. i really think i prefer to order from google play store. Really need your guide on this. Highly appreciate. rclxm9.gif

haha nvm i found out ady and thanks for your info ya^^ thumbup.gif

Yes. But to be able to make purchases from Google Store, you need Google Wallet. Make sure you got that ready.
Once your item arrived at the warehouse, cgw will email you all the details.

The shipment from cgw to Malaysia, with express shipping (free upgrade), take 3-4 business days. smile.gif Actually it took 2 days to arrive to SZB, but it took 2 days for custom to clear.

Or you can refer to Dark Devon or Shirogawa's thread.

the custom will check the stuff? so the RM100 charging fee is at here?
*
Yes but depends on your luck. Some reported here cleared without the need to apply for permit. Some requires permit. In event permit is required, it is RM 100 for three phones. So reduce your cost, better bring in three phones, either by bulk or bring it in and sell them here (I'm sure they'll fetch a good price).

Why you guys think there will be many users rushing to pre order ? This N4 is not going to be a big ticket item. It is still unknown to the masses especially Nexus brands. It is only us geeks here who are so kan cheong over it only. This is not iphone , OK ?
*
I agree with you. Even when I try to recommend to my friends for RM 1,599, they'll say better buy S3 at Rm 1,699. doh.gif

Some more is made by LG - this will even create more doubts on potential buyers who are more influenced by established brands such as HTC, Samsung, Sony, Motorola
*
That is quite true. Even I myself will not consider this phone despite how great it's spec is, if not because of the Nexus badge. smile.gif
