For box sets, more than 2/3 of the content is air so volumetric weight comes into play most of the time rather than the actual weight if you ship with boxes. So very costly.

If you can debox, you can try ship with flat-rate boxes (in the case of USPS). A medium USPS Priority Mail International (PMI) flat-rate box cost about USD45, comes with tracking and delivered to you like a registered mail. It allows up to 20lbs and should be able to fit about 2000 pcs.
You can potentially fit 20 or more small box sets (70-80 pcs) and more if you discard the instructions.
The catch is that you will have to find someone who is willing to do this for you.

some calculations:

1 small SW sets is retailed at RM80 here and USD12+(RM40) in US (in US, can usually get free local shipping)
If you buy 20 sets.

RM1600 in Malaysia,
or
RM800 + USD45 shipping (RM140) = RM940

Of course with TRU's Star Card, you can get RM60+ vouchers and perhaps some Credit Card points/cashback.

Still there is quite some saving.

Was outstation in Kuching for 3 days..and walk around in the city..found 1 toy store selling LEGO sets - Toy Zone at Sarawak Plaza

But the LEGO are selling at RRP price & slightly higher than peninsular maybe due to shipping..

as for Death Star (DS) vs SSD, i picked SSD simply coz it has higher discount rate. And if you are to compare DS and SSD in LEGO website (REGION=UK), SSD=RRP£349.99 while DS=RRP£274.99. IMHO, the amazon discounts makes  SSD a much 'better value'

In US both are supposed to be same price USD399.99, don't know why in UK LEGO website, the SSD is a lot more expensive.

5 years back I wasnt LEGO fan but went to TRU sale at Wisma Amoda at Seksyen 14. Dem lotsa LEGO sets, mostly big ones going for 50% clearance. Even BBT boss was happily hoarding aside all the Star Destroyers. Last few days of sales..further discount onto the earlier 50%.

The following year, all TRU stores had LEGO sets clearance which they dump all in the centre of the store. I got many EXO Squad sets & castle sets for 70% off.

6211 is an awesome set IMO, ur really lucky to get the set for the retail price..which is now considered super cheap.
