Villa came to Anfield with a game plan. They looked to hit us on the break and dragged our centrehalves wide, exposing gaps in the heart of defence and we failed to pick up runs from midfield. Fulham quite simply look out of ideas and can't seem to keep possession. Fielding a makeshift midfield seems to have failed them. They don't have any urgency. Berbatov isn't trying at all to press our defenders or Lucas.

Good positive football from us though.

Cant have much fault today, Mayan Downing. Except for 1 or 2 passes that went off, he has been steady. Breathtaking performance. Beating the defenders as well, which is very rare from him in the beginning of the season.
