Liverpool are playing well because Allen is out? Err yeah sure. Has nothing to do with the fact that Fulham are crap away from home and are playing with a makeshift midfield which includes Karagounis who is old enough to be Suso's dad. The Cottagers have only enjoyed one away win in 3 months.

Suso had a bad 45 minutes, expecting Hendo to come in soon in the second half.

What a pass from Downing. He's having an imperious game. The lad has been quietly soldiering on despite the criticism levied at him. Chuffed he's having such a good game.

Aston Villa wasn't that good either but what is different today from last week is that:
1) We finish the chances (Agger should have put that away though)
2) We track back and stop Berbatov before he could create anything

If we did those last week, we could have been 2-0 up at HT as well. Good to see the team has learn the lesson, good performance overall, let's win this guys! thumbup.gif

Our team playing well today has nothing to do with Allen & Sterling absent, it simply becos Fulham playing like shit, their passing & possesion easily got intercepted by us.
Good thing is, Downing & Gerrard are Goddess tonite!

Yes and there were 10 other players on the pitch against them. Had nothing to do with the fact that Lucas failed to track back twice or that Reina failed to cover his near post.

Fulham have no midfield and are seemingly happy with letting us have the ball. I've no clue why they aren't pressing harder. They simply aren't equipped to sit back and hit us on the counter like Villa did.

I think their game plan was to move the ball quickly and pass to Berba to create chances but our Midfield is chopping them to pieces. Every fast movement they try end up giving us possession and our quick movement after intercepting the ball has created the many chances so far.

Now that we're up 2-0, Fulham has no choice but to come out and attack us. Now this is the time Joe Allen will be so useful. Slowing down the tempo, frustrate opponent into committing fouls.

Johnson is having a ball of a time cutting infield. Like I've said in the past, Enrique and he often have good games playing on the same flank as Downing.
