what puzzles me is how other teams able to get decent quality players on the cheap. is it just those players dont fit into the gaffer's style n idea ? or we are only after 'over priced' players ?

players like michu, jelavic and shane long to name a few has been really good for their respective teams. how is it that our scouts n ian ayre arent able to pull off some good bargain deals ? all we good on the relative cheap was assaidi, n if he has a hard time getting game time, it means he either still needs time, or he aint good enough.

i get sad n angry to see how bargain signings have deluded us for sometime now. i cant think of anyone we signed on the cheap that turned out good for the past 5 seasons. the only players that have had some impact are players like maxi n bellamy who were free. but those were already established players prior to joining us.

p.s. even a young 22 year old benteke is doing relatively good in a very young n new team in villa. first season as well. n now we're linked with the player he replaced, darren bent, who cant even get a run of games under lambert. seriously a joke, our transfer dealings over the decade has been pathetic. awful.

Again, you seem to opine that the players are letting the coach down, rather than focusing on the ineptitude of the coach which result in that dire performance. As a matter of fact, this happens almost everytime Liverpool churned out shitty performance.
