Most G-Shocks are made in Thailand and China. The only ones that are still truly made in Japan are Frogmans.

Same here. The moment I saw the leaked pictures, I knew I have to get one.

I think the GWA1000s are made in Japan. Not sure though. My GW-A1030A Thirty Stars is made in Japan though.

GWA-1100     

I own an G-9300 and i like the size. Do you think GWA-1100 is a lot bigger than G-9300?

Which G-Factory is having it? Maybe can try out the size there. 

The dimension for both looks diff.

GWA1100 is wider whereas G9300 is higher? 

G9300  H:53.0 x W:50.8 x D:18.2mm / 68.5g
GWA1100  H:48.4 x W:53.8 x D:17.3mm / 93g

So, if anything happens it'll makes its way to Germany if my watch is to be fixed eh? Gpeople sells original with cheap price no doubt. I calculated ones from Japan it's almost the same cost as him. However, this feels like buying AP smartphone from China.

I bought my G7900-1 at RM275. Marco Authorized reseller, not G-Factory. I don't think it's RM75 in HK.

Based on my experience buying G-Shocks in HK (2011), they are not cheap. They are around the same price as G-Factory.

Check the prices from Javvy's, they are the G-Factory equivalent in Hong Kong and you'll find that the prices are similar or more expensive than G-Factory Malaysia.

I'm pretty sure the ones you see are parallel imports. Just like online sellers (Gpeople, Impulse), they are cheaper and they provide their own warranty. They can give you a warranty card and what not but if anything happens to it, it's not going to be easy to claim warranty.

This is just based on my observation. I might be wrong.

The price difference of RM400 for the gwa1100 is actually a lot if it's true. I don't get the luxury to travel overseas often or work abroad, so i'll have to settle with online sellers. They are friendly people and i'm not worried bout the warranty as well since all if them are made to take beatings. Haha.
