Just got this (G7900) for just about RM260. No waveceptor or tough solar. But still very good looking watch.

Just got my Rangeman (japan version) from HK. At about RM1200.00.
It will be my favorite G-shock for now... smile.gif

Edit: even Japan version but it was made in Thailand.

I knew you'll get a Rangeman. Haha

Most G-Shocks are made in Thailand and China. The only ones that are still truly made in Japan are Frogmans.
*
Hahaha... Yes... it look so good even in pictures. I'll check if my GWA1000 also made in thailand when I'm home later.

Same here. The moment I saw the leaked pictures, I knew I have to get one. smile.gif

I think the GWA1000s are made in Japan. Not sure though. My GW-A1030A Thirty Stars is made in Japan though.
*
Yes, the GWA-1000RAF is made in Japan. Your picture of GW-9400 is actual color of it in real life. Most pictures I saw on the net are in darker green which don't really portray the real color. I was thinking of getting the green for my kid as both of tot it was dark green. When we saw the it on display, my kid decided skip it.

I want to get GWA-1100 but it is just too damn expensive here. Just checked G-factory selling at RM2049 !!! Guess that I have to wait till I'm back to HK to get it at about RM1350. Or is it anywhere I can get here cheaper than G-factory?

I own an G-9300 and i like the size. Do you think GWA-1100 is a lot bigger than G-9300?

Which G-Factory is having it? Maybe can try out the size there.  smile.gif
*
If u like G-9300, should be no problem with GWA-1100. I called G Factory at Paradigm Mall.

The dimension for both looks diff.

GWA1100 is wider whereas G9300 is higher?  hmm.gif

G9300  H:53.0 x W:50.8 x D:18.2mm / 68.5g
GWA1100  H:48.4 x W:53.8 x D:17.3mm / 93g

You won't know if you may like it with those numbers... go there have a look and try the real thing. biggrin.gif

Where is the cheapest? Someone said HK. Some said G factory.

Tolong shed some light. You help me, i help you. XD

HK street price is at about RM1300-1400 while G-factory selling at RM2049. G-factory definitely not among cheapest.
Talking about the GW-A1100-1A.

Thanks bro. Just went over to g-factory in Midvalley.

[attachmentid=3780977]

GWA1100-1A3 priced at RM 2049. Do you think it is too big for me? Hehe.

Bro Crusader, i may get my friend to get it from HK. You know any recommended online reseller in HK?
*
Ask your friend to go to Sino Plaza in Mongkok. 5 minutes walk from MTR station. Quite a few shops selling latest casio. Can bargain for cheaper price. The cheapest i asked was HKD3080 (RM1305) last month. Can't remember which shop there..

*
Sorry, bro. I'm not sure whether they go online or not. I usually go there to get my g-shock when I was in HK.

It wouldn't be too absurd to think that prices at Gfactory includes their space rental fee and employees salary.

Btw "Thank you for choosing the DW-5600BB watch from CASIO and for registering at www.casio-europe.com/euro/ a few weeks ago. With best regards, CASIO Europe GmbH".

So, if anything happens it'll makes its way to Germany if my watch is to be fixed eh? Gpeople sells original with cheap price no doubt. I calculated ones from Japan it's almost the same cost as him. However, this feels like buying AP smartphone from China.
*
It is absurd when retail shops in HK can survive by selling at RM1350 when their rental is 10x higher than here. Even the cheap G7900-1 is RM200 more expensive here. And their employees salary are not as low as here.
It is really sad to see fellow m'sian buying power is so low. Our salary range is definitely lower then them but we have to dig out even more to get the same stuff.

I bought my G7900-1 at RM275. Marco Authorized reseller, not G-Factory. I don't think it's RM75 in HK.

Based on my experience buying G-Shocks in HK (2011), they are not cheap. They are around the same price as G-Factory.

Check the prices from Javvy's, they are the G-Factory equivalent in Hong Kong and you'll find that the prices are similar or more expensive than G-Factory Malaysia.

I'm pretty sure the ones you see are parallel imports. Just like online sellers (Gpeople, Impulse), they are cheaper and they provide their own warranty. They can give you a warranty card and what not but if anything happens to it, it's not going to be easy to claim warranty.

This is just based on my observation. I might be wrong.
*
The price I quoted are from G-factory and HK retail shops which I'm pretty sure are not parallel importers. To support local market, I don't mind spending extra RM100-RM200... but RM700??!!

And the G7900 I bought was RM250 in HK and saw it was selling at RM450 here. Even for online sellers here is more expensive than HK retails shop for GW-A1100 model. The cheapest I found for online sellers here are RM1750. I prefer to get from retail shop rather than online seller.

However, for those limited/special edition G-shock, I found that sometime HK are more expensive than here.

Currently I'm back in M'sia for holiday...based HK since 2005. Usually, I bought my stuff in M'sia, unless I can't get them here.

The price difference of RM400 for the gwa1100 is actually a lot if it's true. I don't get the luxury to travel overseas often or work abroad, so i'll have to settle with online sellers. They are friendly people and i'm not worried bout the warranty as well since all if them are made to take beatings. Haha.
*
Yes, I don't mind extra RM400 if I'm not traveling overseas anytime soon too. But I prefer to look at the item in person before I pay for it. So, I'm not that into online sellers unless they can do COD. smile.gif

I think we don't have to argue about the price here... let's go back to G-Shock fever... he he he...

Any GW-A1100 owner here can confirm about the problem on the loose hour hand during stop watch function?
