what do you mean??

i choose 1600

Bottlenecks always exist, but their level and the hardware involved varies between systems. The build has a powerful processor and a graphics processing unit though, both of which should work well together. RAM speed doesn't really affect system performance in a significant way, so you won't really have to bother much about it.

Hi guys, i planning to buy a  gaming pc so I can play latest games and here are my spec.

i5 3570
500gb hdd
sapphire 3GB 7950 OC

My question is can someone suggest me which motherboard, power supply , ram and casing should i buy? About the casing, can all graphic cards fit into all types of casings? My budget is around RM1.5k exclude the graphic card. Thanks for reply.

The compatibility of a graphics card with a computer casing depends largely on the casing's form factor and design. Most ATX and and larger form factor computer casings should have no problems supporting most available graphics card in the market.

Processor -
Motherboard MSI H77MA-G43 ( M-ATX board ) or MSI Z77A-G43 ( ATX board - RM289 and RM389 respectively )
RAM 2x 4GB DDR3 1333MHz KVR - RM138
DVD Rom -
Solid State Drive -
Hard Disk Drive -
Graphics processing unit -
Power Supply Seasonic M12II 620 - RM349 ( Semi-modular )
Chassis Any ATX chassis that you fancy for RM200 and above
Total RM976 or RM1076 and above

Thanks TDUEnthusiast. I got another question, I need your opinion about Silverstone 80 plus 700w, is it okay with my system & what are the differences between Silverstone 80 plus series with the Silverstone Strider? Hehe, sorry for asking too much, need info. tongue.gif

It should work fine with your system.

Anyway, which 80 Plus series Silverstone power supply are you referring to? As far as I can see, there's no 80 Plus series. There are different Strider power supply series though, e.g the Strider Plus and the Strider Essential.

Correction bro, its a semi modular unit.. but its better that way IMHO, not that you'd never needed the 24-pin abd 4/8-eps
*
Actually I used to think that way too. It changed when I cleaned my system regularly last time. To dust the power supply I'd had to remove all the cables from the computer components before taking it out. Now with a X-660 I just have to unplug the cables from the power supply. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm thinking of reducing the cost a bit, probably choosing a 500GB hard disk over a 1TB. A friend suggested that I should add more aftermarket fans and thermal paste, is it necessary? Thanks again.

PS: I'm also concerned of how long can this rig last? And if it has space on the motherboard for upgrading in the future? How will it fare with next-gen gaming? Sorry I have a lot of questions haha.
*
You add more chassis fan if the chassis you have chosen does not come with enough, or that the fans that came with the chassis are not good enough, i.e to keep the system running at acceptable temperatures under load. Some sub-RM200 chassis come with only one fan on either the front or the back of the chassis to save costs, so that warrants for the addition of chassis fans. You also won't need to buy thermal paste unless you're intending to use an after-market cooling system with your processor, and do not want to use the included thermal paste, which may not be good enough for some.

Anyway, judging from the specification of the system suggested to you, I'd put it ( system's theoretical "lifespan" ) at at least one years or until newer games that get released cannot play smoothly on your system. If you're talking about components life-span, then expect them to last at least for 2 years. The hard disk drive is the component that is most likely to give up easily though, and it could happen within a year, or even less. So take note and always watch your hard disk drive's health and listen for any weird noise that your hard disk drive may be producing.

need some advice, I have a computer running BE X720 with HD4850. Want to upgrade my graphic card but was wondering would it be better to upgrade both my cpu and graphic card or would it be enough with the current cpu with better graphic card?

Wanted to play new games in high details.

Considering that you want to play recent games and future games on high settings, I would suggest an upgrade of the processor and the graphics card. The priority goes to the graphics card first of course depending on your budget, but if you can afford a good processor and graphics card at the same time, then consider doing so.

Thanks, but 2x 4GB is better no? since it will be dual channel?

It won't bring about an improvement enough to make you prioritize dual channel over capacity on a single stick smile.gif.
